Does it help or does it make it harder to be understanding with all the online information?

I find that a lot of the information online about dating what to do, not to do, and what to expect; is logical and helps pick up on some clues, but it also makes it harder to see a person for themselves. I think that unwillingly people often compare who they are dating to the "article" or advice that made better sense to their illusion of what a relationship should be and how it develops.

How does everyone else feel about all this saturation of information? Does it help? Does it just make the anxiety worse? Do you find yourself comparing yourself or the people your dating to these articles?
