I'm sure its a coincidence but! sometimes I begin to think maybe its something like pheromones or some sort of just bad luck I suppose. What do you think about that?

I always tell my daughter to never tell her friends how sweet her boyfriend is to her...the temptation is there to say all the wonderful things he says and does for her but if her friends know how wonderful he is? they want someone to treat them that way and if he treats her so wonderfully he'd surely treat THEM that wonderfully so by default he becomes more attractive and 'ideal' to them.

girls should be aware of this imo...same goes for guys! you start talking up the girlfriend all your guy aquaintances are gonna get their antenna's up about her.

it's really unfair, but I guess it's just human nature...

  its very ironic, my mother talked to me and my brothers about that in the past. I never talk about my girlfriend to my friends unless there is a question being asked, but I don't mind them talking to my girlfriend and they still tend to flirt with her in the end and it doesn't bug me. but you have a point though =D

  Something like people always want what they can't have? Or you don't know what you've 'got' until it's gone? Hahaha, some other cheesy crap like that. It seems to be true for the most part though. They see that someone else wants you, which brings to their attention, 'hey, maybe there's something *I* should want there too!', or they like a challenge, etc.

Funny thing... my wife insists that she notices others... mostly women... flirting with me. Frankly I think she's delusional. I sure don't notice any such thing. True I'm not looking for it, and it seems so unreal. But then again because I regard myself as ugly I don't see why anyone would do such a thing. Oh I'm friendly and I'll pay attention to anyone who talks to me, but that doesn't mean I'm flirting. Yet I'm told that others seem to take it as such and return the alleged favour. I'm not interested in anyone else. Do peole flirt with me? I'm told they do, but I really have no way of knowing.

  Then you can let yourself go realizing that maybe something will happen for the better whereas it's a dead issue for me. I'm not looking elsewhere and I wouldn't know if someone was flirting with me if s/he came up and kissed me.

  I know , but that's the part I find weird, I'm sure its not only women, but I wonder what makes people just get the urge to flirt with someone who is taken, I have my own personal dilemma because as soon as they find out I have a girlfriend, I expect them to remain platonic but they do the exact opposite.

  I think that you start to feel better about yourself and your life when you see the prospect of a new girl in your life and that mood shows. I tend to have a good mood and carry myself well so I always get the flirting. =)

I don't think it is a coincidence .

When I'm already in a relationship I seem to get a lot more attention from men generally . I think it's because I'm not looking for attention from other men . Because I'm not trying to impress men I probably come across as friendly and natural . I probably show more of my quirky side and my filthy sense of humour because I don't care if they find it a turn off .

When I'm single and I like a man; I spend too much time thinking about it . Worrying if he likes me , and trying to analyse every little conversation and action . I'm also trying to be on my best behavior , scared to show any personality traits that might put him off. Also because I normally have a crush on one man at a time I probably don't notice signs that other men might like me .

I think people can sort of sense desperation in single people . When you're in a relationship perhaps you come across as more confident and attractive because you're not trying to impress anyone , you're just being yourself !

I find that men are like busses ... either none come or when one comes along two more will be right behind it .
