Well when somebody compliments you, you can never go wrong with "Thank you." And if you like the guy, complimenting him back is always a nice gesture.

It depends on what it is. No matter what you do, don't deny it!

The simplest is to look into his eyes, give him a big smile and say "Thank you!" really chipper while smiling.

The polite thing to do when you're complimented is to give one in return. If you can't, then ignore the compliment and don't smile.
