The question is direct, if you like someone you just met do you a) Give them your number first or b) Ask for their number and why? P.S you have to choose a preference between the 2! Not exchanging number answer :p

I would exchange numbers... But since you want to play either or I would ask for her number being that I initiated the conversation and will likely have to call to make things happen.

I would of course ask for her number. Most girls want a guy who is not afraid to lead them. They like a guy who knows what he wants and then goes after it. Asking for her number is just another way of showing you can retain control of a situation. I've never known any guy who was good at picking up women who gave out his own number rather then asked for theirs.

p.s. getting a email or Facebook address is so much easier then a number and nowadays is virtually the same thing. Women find it allot less threatening.

Actually once this guy gave me his card with his number without me asking! I found it quite odd because I too would ask for someone's number if I were the one interested.

I know a couple people who have played around with handing out their number on cards. Those are the guys who really are good at picking up women and are just playing around with new techniques. It's really amazing at some of the techniques some guys can get away with using. I'll even bet some girls gave him a call. It's really true that it's not the technique used but rather the person using it that makes it work.

Just out of curiosity how many guys have you approached or asked for their number? It's not a common thing . I've only had a girl ask for my number a handful of times and only ever been directly approached by a girl once. I don't know any guys who've had it happen to them on more then a couple times ether.

Yeah turns out this guy was a "big shot" who thought he could play any girl, it's a good thing I didn't call! I think I've only asked one guy for his number but we were friends.

How do you know he was a "big shot" trying to play women? Just because a guy takes to meeting multiple women does not mean he abuses them. Sometimes that's just who people are. They sleep with hundreds of women. I know several guys who have three digit numbers. There is nothing wrong with that. We all choose to be who we wanna be. My number isn't nearly as high but allot of girls might consider me a player. I've been with over 50 girls and I'm actually looking for only one. Funny how things work
