There is nothing more annoying than seeing a girl that is already awesome for who she is, going off and trying to be even "cooler" or the "coolest" girl in school, or whatever. A lot of the things that are "cool" at a young age, ultimately aren't and only lead to trouble, so don't get too involved with the crowd.

The sad thing is far too many girls your age, even MY age, are like this... It's not attractive, no matter how attractive the girl is physically.

Forget that mess dude. Be yourself, forget about anyone who doesn't like it. I am sure you're plenty kind and can get plenty of guys. Also, like you said just be a genuine person (nobody likes a fake). And generally, that'll make you as "popular" as you'll ever need to be. I promise. If not, it's just high school, life goes on.
