Guys what could you be thinking when you see a girl?

ill explain what I mean

okay so a couple weeks ago I was at my friends house and we were doing face time. with her boyfriend and his friend was over and I saw him and his friend at the mall and he didn't see my whole face but told my friend he thought I was hot.

then at face time I actually saw him for the first time and when he was looking at me it was just a blank stare I thought it was really awkward so I just turned away.

What was he thinking? did he think I was ugly?
