How to tell if girl wants me to approach her?

Just as the title says. I don't know when or how to approach a girl. I never know what to say in order to get date.

Lots of girls are notoriously bad at letting guys know when they're interested. Obviously, not all of them are and many are willing to take the first step. If the girl you're interested in isn't obviously initiating the contact however, don't despair! Try and make eye contact with her, and see if you can't work in a smile before she looks away again. Don't leer, wink, smirk, etc... just smile and see what she does. If she blushes at all when caught looking at you, there's a good chance she's interested. If she smiles back, there's another sign she might be hoping you approach her. If and when you do decide to try, I would suggest being friendly first, not overly flirtatious or over the top (this is assuming you're interested in a relationship, not a one-night stand, in which case you should just make your feelings known so you don't waste time on a girl who isn't planning on reciprocating). A well placed, relatively innocent compliment can do wonders.

You should also watch her body posture and positioning. There are loads of articles online detailing what it means when someone faces you, leans toward you, mimics your movements, etc... watch for those gestures!

If a girl wants you to approach, she will give you some looks, smile in a shy or flirting way! That's what girls actually do. Or, if she is too shy, she will look at you while you aren't watching, so try to catch her sight :-)
