Younger (18-21 year old) girls, are you more interested in somewhat older guys?

Not really. I don't have a preference in terms of my age or a little older. If I like you, then I like you. I tend to date more 18-22 year-olds though, since I'm 19 and they're everywhere in my undergrad classes. We study together, hang out in the same places, run in the same circles, etc. There's the graduate students too, but they're so busy that I rarely see them in the light of day =P - or worse he's my TA, and yeah that's not happening lol.

Maybe if I got out more I'd meet more older guys. When I go home I get approached by them, but yeah, in college when a lot of your time is spent on campus it's different. I don't mind it much though. I've dated some good quality guys my age, and they're at the same place I am with studying, working part-time, finals, internships, partying, being broke haha, figuring out what to do with your life, etc. It's nice in a way. There's pros and cons I guess, and in the end what matters is the kind of person he is and what he's looking for, not really age.

I don't think you're the weird one out though. Clearly from all of these answers, in general girls like older guys.

so I would say that for me, yes, I am attracted to older men. however, if they're older than my older sister, I don't give it a second thought.

i like to know that he can take care of me because, personally, I don't know a lot about a lot of things, lol o.O

he is smarter than me, which I am totally okay with!

he's also had more experience in life than I have. with lots of different people, situations etc.

so when I'm faced with something I don't know anything about or I'm unsure on what to say or what I should or shouldn't do, he tells me about what he's found to be true of *this* or *that* situation, and we go from there

Yes. I like dating older men because theyre out of that kid phase where everything they do/say is revolved around ACTING a certain way because of their definiton of "cool", and they just aren't genuine. Although there are still many men who just never grow out of that phase... My boyfriend didn't like the idea of me, a much younger person, going after him either at the start.. but that's just how I am. perhaps when I'm in my mid 20s I wouldn't mind people my age. But men 24 and younger these days are typically just scummys who try to look/act cool instead of being themselves..

i find the whole "AGE" thing really damn shallow. Age is a damn number and you find a little boy in every age group in every city. Women want a mature person age does not reflect maturity about half of the time

i just turned 22, I always have been attracted to older men, from the time I started feeling attraction to men as a preteen!

when I was 14 I liked guys in their early 20s and older.

and so on.

i have felt attracted to men nearly as old as my own dad. for example I know a man probably close to his age but he is very sexy-good looking, very nice eyes, in good shape, tall. he's a total dilf!

i have never dated or done anything sexual with a guy more than 12 years older though.

i think I have daddy issues. BUT, I am practical about it. though I am mostly only attracted to older men they are sometimes only a few years older, like 5. at 22 it is reasonable to date a 27 year old. and I have dated guys my own age too.

but, I can't lie that sexually older men between 30-40 turn me on the most.

When I was 18, I wasn't into guys who were in their mid twenties. They seemed too old to me. But when I was 20-21, I was. Once college was over, it seemed to make a difference. That being said, the guys I dated who were older were definitely not any more mature than the guys I've dated who were my own age. Many were clinging to their youth with both hands by dating younger and younger girls. That's a total myth that younger girls are suckers for. Some guys are matured early from experiences, some become mature as they grow and some are always reckless and self-centered.

I'm 18 and I definitely am! There's just something so hot about dating an older guy. I think one of the main reasons is guys who are my own age are still in their immature phase. Most girls want something more serious, where guys who are young aren't interested in anything serious. Also, whenever I do find a guy, who I find attractive and they seem to be about the same age, have turned out to be much younger than me. If you're into dating younger girls then I guess it's a plus for you, but if you want girls your age, then you need to switch up where you look for them. Switch from parties and clubs to coffee shops and grocery stores.

Sorry I'm a bit old for your age range I'm 22...but I can remember even when I was 18 and younger I've only been interested in dating a older guy...course I didn't want him to get in trouble LMAO like I've always wanted to be with a guy that's 3-4+ years older than me is ideal just cause they seem to be A TAD BIT more mature :S depending on the guy

No you're not wierd. For girls between 18-21, the thought of an older guy is exciting to them, Some girls think that older guys are more mature, and know what they want from a relationship. They look to older guys for stability. Someone who can take care of them and make them feel protected. These girls think this about older guys because they're still babies, and they don't know any better. Because from experience, these older guys usually target younger girls, because they're naive

sometimes you want an older guy, because you tired of the games teen guys play, but just cause someone is older doesn't mean their more mature, and just cause someones young dosen't make them a user. It all comes down to the person in the end. But I always thought older guys just seem more mature.

Yes, I'm always more attracted to men that are older than me. It's not even a totally conscious thing; I mean yes, I like older guys because they are generally more mature and into the whole relationship thing, but even when I'm not aware of a guy's age, I have never been attracted to younger men.

If the relationship I'm in were to end, I would probably avoid dating a guy my age, because I'm not into the whole "typical college guy" thing. That may be the reason for your situation as well.

Yes, I prefer guys in their mid-20s. They aren't into heavy partying anymore and most of them have their lives sorted out. A bit of a maturity thing. I'm 20 and I tend to date guys between 20 and 25. Last few were 23, 22 and 24.

In my tradition, the guy is either the same age or a few years older than the women, so I am a bit attracted to a men older than me, but not too old. I guess women are into older men because older men give the 'mature vibe'. The reason for that is because women generally mature earlier than guys their age.
