I drink the coconut water that our school cafeteria serves; coconuts are not natives to the city and supplies are from the rural areas. That's why servings from the cafeteria seem to be my sole exposure to coconuts.
The flesh is sometimes made as a dessert called 'buko pandan'.
It is a dessert made up of coconut meat (often scraped from the shell that yields to lines, like noodles), condensed milk, and green food coloring. Speaking from experience, the dessert has to be served cold; otherwise, it would taste like spoiled milk!1THIS IS NOT RELEVANT ANYMORE
