Have you ever been able to make popcorn without any unpopped kernels and burnt popcorn?

I was just making popcorn and thought if it's even possible.

  • Sometimes, but it is rare. I once popped some corn on the stove using a pot and some canola oil. I accidentally used too much oil, but the popcorn ended up being deep fried and extra crispy. All kernels were popped or partially popped. I love the partially popped kernels!

  • once upon a time in a galaxy...
actually this is rare enough to mention the once in a blue moon times
    formula:
    1. the most expensive kernels equal/better to Orville Redenbacher's usually these are fatter with chinner shells
    2. hot air popper, oil/butter drippings optional - this can run forever w/o burning anything and can eventually get all to pop... it's OK to cheat a bit if some kernels get pushed out by an avalanche of "snowballs" escaping

  • Nope. I always find the popcorn starts to burn long before all the kernels have popped. Sometimes it even tastes burnt before it starts to burn

  • It's easy to make it without burning it, but there's always unpopped kernels. I'm OK with that because my favorites are the partially popped kernels. I love crunching them!

  • Nope not even close but I do enjoy crunching on the ones that didn’t pop 😋 though if you ever find a solution to this please share it with asap!🍿

  • No but its not a big deal to leave some unooped kernels. You could save them and repoop them in a brown paper bag in the micrwave
