What's a good diet to help with stress?

I'm under a lot of stress for weeks at a time. Any one have a good diet that can help with stress and any tummy related issues that are related to stress?

  • More fruits and veggies, whole grains instead of white.

Don't starve yourself, stress is better handled on a full stomach. Fill up on nutritious stuff though. Donuts won't help you.

Don't drink alcohol. That can make a huge difference. Try to avoid coffee/caffeine and excess sugar too.

Also helpful: exercise a bit more. Eat with other people instead of alone as often as possible. And see if you can relieve the stressful burden anytime soon!

  • Salad with fresh veggies and fruits for snacks. Much much easier on the gut.

  • Tea is always good. You could try earl gray if you prefer something toned down or hibiscus if you want something more tangy.

  • I think probiotics and perhaps an indoor trampoline, if you don't have time to go to the gym. Stress is better dealt with exercise rather than a change of your entire diet imho.

    • But hold up on the coffee, especially black.
      Plain yoghurt is always good.
