  • We did a group shopping trip for condiments and seasonings, sugar, etc, so we didn't have 4 of each bottle in the fridge, splitting the cost. Sure, one of us might use more ketchup, but others might use more of other things. Other food got names and dates, and anyone could throw it out if it was expired (or for leftovers if it was over a week old unless it was frozen). We had a dishwasher so dishes were less of an issue, pots and pans we cleaned after each meal.

  • Just make sure everyone cleans up after themselves. My best friends housemate left coffee cups and plates on the sink for weeks, it was disgusting.

What Guys Said 1

  • Make a written agreement for each thing one should do cause word of mouth means nothing.

What Girls Said 1

  • Have am agreement ahead about dirty dishes and cleaning up.

Also have you own shelf in the fridge for YOUR stuff and don't "borrow" each other's food without asking.
