  • Just before serving the spaghetti should always be well coated in sauce and then parmigiano reggiano grated over the spaghetti, when it is served on the plate.

  • I cook them separately boiling water and adding pasta and creating a sauce (tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil, salt) and simmering but then blend them together at the end? How do you cook sauce and pasta together?

  • Cooking them separately allows for each flavour to stand out on its own.

  • I'm not very much of a cook, but I do make spaghetti sometimes. I always cook the spaghetti separately from the sauce. And when I've served it to someone other than just me I put the sauce on before I serve it. I guess I've never thought that my guest would want to put it on themselves. But anyway, I don't skimp on the sauce and I give them a lot.
As a side note: Sometimes I buy whole wheat or spinach spaghetti. Both are really good and more nutritious.

  • I make my sauce and it has to simmer for at least 2-3 hours then I'll cook my pasta. I keep my pasta separate from the sauce till I fix my plate.

  • Cook spaghetti. Add some sauce into spaghetti once it’s ready so that the spaghetti won’t stick together. Have extra sauce on the side with meatballs
