  • The better the grade of meat and type of cattle used is a big determining factor in how i order the cook of my beef.
    Im a big fan of Kobe Wagyu Ribeye s which i order med/rare.
    You can touch a raw cut of the great meat and just your body heat begins breaking down the fat in the protein.

  • The steak in the picture is the perfect colour for my taste. Agree with other person that says breed and cut are paramount. My favourite cut is the ribeye and I don't like a ton of seasoning, just what's required to highlight the flavour. Sauces are sacrilege.

  • Steaks never did anything for me. I've never figured out why people make such a big deal out of them. I'd literally rather eat a hamburger.

    But yea, if I'm going to eat a steak, I'd prefer it fairly rare.

  • i don't think that's rare at all is it?
    it depends. i eat steak tartar which is raw. but generally on larger cuts rare is too rare when if feels like the meat just squishes between your teeth
