I was vacationing in Australia and for dinner I had seafood pizza with anchovies on it. The pizza would have been okey but the anchovies were very salty. I also had a kangaroo burger while I was there and I once had rabbit at a Christmas party. As a 4 year old I would sometimes eat snake for breakfast when I lived in China.
Were any of them good?
the kangaroo burger tasted very unpleasant to me but aside from sea food - I tend to be unhappy any time I try a new type of meat I don't eat normally. The kangaroo jerky I got tasted fairly good - almost as good as beef. The rabbit was also very unpleasant but the buffalo meat I had last month was amazing.
Horse meat roll with a side of something. I didn't try the "something part". Just tried the meat. A slight salty/acidic taste to it, but overall tastes like other meats. Would not search for it, but given the chance I'd try it again. Once before refused to try bear meat, but I now regret not trying it. I'm open to new foods.
I hear bear meat can be pretty tough.
Once I was eating some peas&potato food my mom made me and suddenly I felt a different texture in my mouth, the taste became bitter and I quickly spit it out. I am not sure what kind of insect or different kind of thing like that it was, I prefered not to inspect, but i certainly lost my apetite. Inspect your food before or while eating, you never know when something may fall into it.
oh, I hate to admit it, but I had roast puffin and whale steaks in Iceland.
I take it it didn't taste all that great?😅
It's been so long ago. I guess niether made an impression on me, good or bad. I don't think that i would eat it again though...
The photo looks like octopus salad which I’ve had before which was delicious
As long as it tastes good.
I tried inuit icecream once. Its snow, blueberries, and fat blended together. The taste isn't awful, but the texture gets me.
Braised rabbit. And i didn't even know it was rabbit until i was told. didn't taste nice.
I can only imagine!
Blood soup in Vietnam and a bunch of local dishes in India whose names I can't remember.
All were good
I'm glad to hear that.
Tried some Jamaican food a few weeks ago, but don't know the name of it.
Was it good?
Yeah, a bit spicy but I liked it very much. The guy I'm currently dating is Jamaican and he cooked it for me.
A husband who cooks good food is always a blessing.😊
I know right 😁
Probably nothing beyond basic Chinese food. lol It wasn’t really my thing.
I felt the same way when I tried it.
Olive oil ice cream. It did not live up to the hype.
There was a hype?
It was at some apparently famous chefs restaurant, listed under the mans personal favourites
I have tried a variety of different kinds of ice cream, but this the first I have heard of olive oil being used in it...😅
You have to message me for that... can't say here...
Woah, what are you eating that you can't say it in public?
@VinaonfireAre you scared of the backlash if you said what it was?
A dish from rabbit meat in France... I didn't like it.
I had escargot once. It was surprisingly good.
It does seem like quite a few people like it.
Frog legs at a french restaurant
Did you like them?
Yeah they were pretty good. Just like fried chicken. The only difference is that with poultry you have that oily fat taste where a frod is more watery.
Rattlesnake. Verrrry good.
That is kind of surprising.
Stalted meal worm stew.
Orange chicken Chinese food it was awesome
I’ve eaten spider. It was nasty
How were they?
I didn't like it.
