Y'know what? Fuck it, I'm addicted to drinking tea. It makes me feel happy and I feel less happy when I dont drink tea, therefore addiction, exactly the same as heroin addiction! No difference between tea and heroin!
Omg, sugar releases dopamine? Cocaine releases dopamine! OMG THIS MEANS THAT SUGAR ADDICTION CAN LEAD TO COCAINE ADDICTION! SUGAR IS A GATEWAY DRUG!!!
Wow. They have never tried hard drugs...

Sugar is addicting for everyone. Just try to detox your system of sugar, it ain't easy. Go without a single lick of sugar, 0 sugar, for a month and see how you feel. The bad bacteria in your body BEGS for it all the time. That means no sweet anything, even if you can't taste the sugar. NOTHING. Read the nutrition facts on all of the foods you love.
You are simply wrong. I suggest looking into how cocaine effects the brain, the withdrawal symptoms of it, and the way people act when it is taken away. The effects are completely different, cookies and food barely affect you, cocaine will tear your life apart for monthes.
"Cocaine addiction, referred to as stimulant use disorder in the DSM-5, is a disorder characterized by a number of criteria, of which the experience of withdrawal symptoms is but one."-https://www. verywellmind. com/cocaine-4157310
@devilman666 I'm not saying I agree with the study but I'm saying if the study were true it would take into account other foods too. But I agree with you cocaine is no where near as safe or comparable with food
So you think cookies should be labelled a class A drug?
No but I think people need to be careful on how many they consume
Then you are lying when you agree that cookies are as addictive as cocaine.
They are addictive because of the sugar, not because they’re drugs
Im pretty annoyed with this shit, I've seen real addiction, and I find it frustrating that you act like this is actually addictive when you know it isn't. And the proof that you know it isn't is that you dont want to protect children from it. If you thought this was as addictive as cocaine then you would want it to be illegal and kept away from children entirely, the way cocaine is illegale and kept away from children.
If sugar is as addictive as cocaine then we should ban sugar because children will not be able to control themselves, they will spend hours thinking about sugar, desperately wanting it, and everytime they consume sugar will reinforce the addiction and cause them to eventually even steal to continue eating sugar.
I’m talking about a different type of addiction. Food addictions and drug addictions are different things
Then we can find alternatives to sugar that aren’t so addicting
Drug: "a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body."Sugar makes you release dopamine, therefore sugar is technically a type of drug.
*cough* bullshit *cough*I've done a lot of drugs and I've eaten a lot of sweets. Trust me, they're not the same at all. Sugar is not addictive, it releases a small amount of dopamine because our body needs sugar. Other than that it's not addictive at all, anyone can quit sugar at any time, I haven't heard of anyone committing crimes to continue their sugar addiction, I've never seen someone struggling to distract thenselves from the very thought of sugar. Drugs are 100x worse, I met someone addicted to heroin once, she was genuinely in pain and her body was acting like it was sick because she was craving it so bad, that's what drug addiction is like, seeing my friend sleeping on my couch unable to get up for more than a few minutes because coming off meth is simply that difficult. He slept there for almost 3 days straight before he had enough energy to walk around.
Well I never done any drugs besides marijuana so maybe I just don’t know. All I know is sugar is the only thing I found to be addictive to me
Weed isn't that addictive either, I smoke it everyday and Im not addicted. I suggest reading about addiction www.therecoveryvillage.com/.../#gref
Yeah I know it’s not because I would be addicted to it by now if it was.
You can get addicted but usually it requires you to smoke it while you're young, which to be fair, if you do any drugs while your brain is still developing, your chances of addiction to that substance go way up.
Agreed. I didn’t start until my early 20’s
Devilman; shut up!
So you think chocolate chips should be labelled a class A drug?
@devilman666 yes definitely
Okay good, hopefully we will have made chocolate chips illegal within the next year, so that anyone caught eating chocolate chips is thrown in prison for the same duration as someone caught with meth or heroin.
First Time Possession Charge: A first time possession charge will result in a prison sentence of up to 1 year in prison and a minimum fine of $1,000, or both;
But drug addiction is completely different from "sugar addiction". It is only addicting in the sense that you want more, it is not addicting in the sense that you experience withdrawal effects, or spend hours/days thinking about it, sugar is only addicting in the fact that it releases a small amount of dopamine. Exercise releases dopamine, is exercise addictive?
@devilman666 to some people it might be
Since people love to be stupid. People who dont know what addiction is like to act like they're addicted to everday things to seem cool or relatable.
It's like those women that always talk about how they're OCD even though they don't know what OCD means. "I get angry when my house is not clean, I am soooo OCD, teehee.".
Hahahah facts man
Have you done cocaine before?
Good question 😂
@geosmanphi I dont like these losers who have no idea what they're talking about trying to act like they're addicted. They dont even know what addiction is, to highlight this, they go on and on about how it is "super addictive", but guess how many of them think sugar, chocolate chips, or cookies should be labelled as class A drugs?
Lol. Whoa there @devilman666. No one said it should be labeled a class A drug. I’m saying sugar can be addictive. Cocaine can be addictive too. But, the thing is, not everyone gets addicted to drugs. Some people can do cocaine a few times and not become addicted. Sugar has addictive properties to it. That’s why people have sugar cravings, similar to how people have drug cravings.
Also, I never said I was addicted, lmao. I also am not acting like I am. You’re a loser for making such absurd assumptions. For someone who is 23, you’re pretty ignorant.
You just called me a loser 😢 u assumed I know what addiction is. I'm jokin with you, haha , I smoke but i haven't tried any drugs. I control myself, i don't just open the packet as soon as I buy it , i only smoke whenever I'm stressed and need to relaxe. But calling sugar an addiction isn't a right thing.
You insinuated that I was a loser. So, I threw it right back at you. I don’t think it’s wrong to classify sugar as being addictive. It activates the reward center like all drugs do. You know, even social media activates the reward center, that’s why so many people are addicted to it. There are different levels of drugs. Caffeine is a drug, and people are addicted to that. So, yes, people can become addicted to sugar (that may be a reason that so many people are overweight/have a hard time not eating sweets), sugar, like drugs, can be used to cope with anxiety, stress and depression.
You might have a point there
@calixx you are dumb as fuck. If sugar is addictive then it should be made illegal so that children can't get it. Go get addicted to meth and then you will have an idea what you're talking about."Some people can do cocaine a few times and not be addicted" yeah I know, I've done cocaine, and meth. Never got addicted to either, luckily. You mentioned sugar craving and drug cravings as if theyre the same thing. I need to make a point here of showing how they are different. I tried to hell my friend get off meth once, he slept on my couch for 3 says before he had the energy to really do anything. He could barely move for 3 days because coming off of meth was that hard for him. You know NOTHING about addiction. I've seen heroin addicts scratching themselves until they bleed because the cravings are so fucking bad.
Caffeine isn't a real addiction either in my opinion. I've seen real addiction, this idea of "oh, I'm so addicted, teehee." Is just nonsense, I'm sure it's so bad when you dont have coffee for a day yet you are still able to live your life and get things done, oh, you got a little headache? That sounds so fucking aweful, that's real addiction right there, now you have to do it everyday or you basically will fall over dead, nvm that's heroin addiction.
I like your way of thinking bro @devilman666
Lol @devilman666, you’ve got some deep issues, my guy. Getting upset over a comment? Oh wow. I suggest you find different means of help than drugs usage. You’re honestly very ignorant, and maybe a bit challenged. Of course, it’s not nice to assume these things about you. But, clearly you aren’t very intelligent by your replies. 😂
You’re clearly missing the point where I am saying it has addictive prosperities, lol. I never said it’s an addiction. There is a difference and you are obviously missing it. You are dumb. Not me. Lol.
At 23, I’d expect more from you. I thought maybe you’d be able to grasp the concept of what I am saying, as it’s not wrong. It’s truth.. Clearly, that’s wrong of me to assume from you.
Sure about that?
