Buckfast wine is a cheap high alcohol wine with a high caffeine content much loved by Scottish alcoholics and heavy drinkers. It'll get you drunk really quick and you won't be able to sleep it off. While red bull gives you wings this gives you the wings of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
I drink it for the high alcohol
Vote A
I drink it because the high caffeine keeps me awake on long drives
Vote B
I drink it because some unqualified rightwing nut on youtube claimed it cures covid19
Vote C
I drink it in the hope the high alcohol/caffeine content will inspire poppy standard questions
Vote D
I'd rather drink out of the urinal in my local std clinic
Though I've never actually tried it and have no doubt of it's potency... I think you're giving it a little more credit, then it deserves.
I haven't been drunk in about 4 years now but I used to drink like a fish. I'm not proud of that fact or anything but it would be my reason for (knowing) there's stronger wines out there..
I think I was 16, the first time I tried Cisco. Beins I was young and poor, would be why it became my "go to", for a while. As all it took to obtain, was $3 and the balls to walk into a liquor store. Since that seems to be mainly an East Coast concept, that's a store where you can buy beer AND liquor... in the (same) place! ... kooky, right? Lol
Anyway, this tasty beverage came in 3 flavors but only 2 of which, were actually drinkable. "Orange" being an abomination so atrocious, I've yet to see (anyone) who could drink more then a sip... before setting it aside to be used as turpentine, at a later date. Usually accompanied by several, "I told ya so's".
The other two were Red and Grape, their palatability in that order. If ya managed to gag down half of either though, you're taste buds would then be eviscerated for the evening... at least. The bright-side of which, of course being, that it then allows for the chugging of the 2nd half! One bottle, usually being enough to put even the highest of tolerances, in their place. Toward the end of my run however, I could usually drink two of em, before reaching blackout status.
And while I may not be very proud of my alchy days and whatnot, anyone familiar with the effects of Cisco a. k. a, Liquid Crack... knows they (GOTTA) tip their hat, to that shit! Lol
Thank you.. though my reasons for having done so, are less then admirable.
I'd tell ya why that is but most don't take it very well. Which is (sorta) understandable but given the fact it can and probably would work for anyone... sucks no one ever takes me seriously.
Oh jeez, I just re-read that. Now I feel like I'm trying to sell something, I'm not.. it was due to drug use. One drug in particular, really.
It wasn't just me that it effected, had a buddy that drank hard liquor, like water. He ended up quitting for a long time as well and neither of us, were trying to..
Dont get me wrong, I'm not trying to advocate drug use but there (is) an ingredient in it, that "re-wires" an alcoholics mind and should REALLY be studied further.
Though my friend reverted back to drinking after a year or 2, when this particular crap couldn't be bought anymore... as I said, been 4 years and counting for me. I even (try) to drink from time to time, I've yet to finish an entire beer. I've completely lost my taste for it... which if ya knew me, is nothing short of incredible.
I haven't drunk it... "yet". A while ago my older brother introduced me to rum-redbull. The idea of being tipsy-yet-alertish totally blew my mind. Since redbull will give you a heart-attack more or less, I switched to less intense cocktails. Like homemade white-russian.
Recipe: -1/3 part milkpowder -Nescafe instant coffee (maybe 1 teaspoon just enough for aroma and to keep you awake) -1/3 part rum -1/3 part vodka
That vodka will make you sing in Russian... without understanding Russian. :P

Nope, never had that. Port wines with 15% aren't uncommon. But... how comes caffeine in this mysterious substance? I think red bull wings fueled with vodka give better start in an longer evening.
Good ol' wreck the hoose juice. I don't drink it much anymore but I still enjoy the odd bottle out the freezer from time to time. The connoisseurs choice, a fine vintage.
Never had or heard of it but my answer was quickly done as D - if it gives me the inspiration, knowledge and power to ask questions like you do, I'm down :)
