Thank you for the tips!!!😊
Hope it helped. I've been at this thing - hobby only - for about 40+ years! Lots of new advancements in the materials and tools to use, but lots of practice still is the number 1 requirement.
Yes, I actually used to be horrible at baking... But overtime I've gotten better with practice. And I use started using fondant. The two fondant cake pics are my first 2 fondant cakes. But I really try to make different types of desserts and sweet treats and twist them into a cake or cheesecake form 😊But yes, your tips helped! I'll look at that link as well!😊😊
If you want to get adventurous, try a GEODE CAKE!
I will try😊
Look at pix of REAL geodes. It's amazing to see how many "geode" cake pix are out there that really do NOT look like real geodes.
It looks like a challenging cake to make but I will definitely try my best to make one and post it
CAn't wait to see- if only there was "smell-a-vision". :- )
LOL i know right 😆😆😆 i am going to add you so when I post you can see it. Have a great night!!!
You as well.
Thank you!!! And yes, those are almond joys😊
Yeah black icing tastes terrible to me lol but thats fondant so u can just take that off and eat the regular buttercream icing under it
How does fondant taste? Like i wanted to do it in a wedding cake but if its stripped, would the cake taste weird? Like i wonder can someone sculpt buttercream like fondant
No no no u can eat the fondant.. It tastes like sugar... thick sugar and for some people it is too sweet. I personally dont care for it. But when most people make cakes, they put some type of icing (like vanilla buttercream) under it and so if u take the fondant off it won't taste weird. You'll just have regular cake with regular icing under it ☺☺
And yeah professionals know how to make buttercream cakes that look just like fondant🙂
But will the buttercream under the fondant look sloppy or still be decorative and pretty lol
It really depends on how much buttercream is put under the fondant and how thick the fondant is. But 9 times out of 10 its not going to look neat lol but by the time people take the fondant off the cake its going to already be on their plate and the looks won't even matter at that point lol
Yea this ain't bad
Yeah that looks nice!!! I don't know how they did that.. They probably chilled the cake before taking it off but idk🤷🏾
Ooo that makes sense but i hope it dont make it taste stale
No it won't taste stale unless its really old lol. Buttercream frosting lasts for a couple of days out the fridge and even longer inside the fridge😊😊😊
Freezers make bread/cake taste stale tho

Those are some pretty awesome looking cakes! Have you ever considered working in baking or doing a baking business?
Thank you so much!!! And Yes, I have a small business going called Delicious Tiers lol but its nothing major! I do want to own my own bakery one day but I am self taught. I really want to go to baking school to get better at decorating😊
That sounds amazing! Im so happy for you! It would be cool for you to get your own bakery one day. Hopefully after covid
