Are hash browns ok to eat while on a diet as long as I’m not having them on a daily basis?

Frying potatoes in oil or butter on the other hand is not that healthy for several reasons.

You can eat hash browns if you fry them without oil but make sure that they don't get too dark because that is not healthy either. Some foods can lead to the formation of compounds linked to cancer. These include heterocyclic amines and so-called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which can lead to fried or smoked foods posing a health risk.

Best is to eat your potatoes just boiled in hot water.

Yes, if it is only to a limited quantity ( just one per week). But please remember accordingly to research fried potatos was the cause for majority of obesity

I'd personally just figure out the calories of the hash browns, that is the safest but self control and smaller portions would probably be key for this

Keep track of how much you eat and you can eat anything even ice cream cake lol so hashbrowns is not gonna be an issue.
