Do vegans also give their pets vegan food or do they feed them meat?

If they give them meat they are hypocrites.

Even if they give them meat they are still not hypocrites as most animals are carnivores and need meat.

I am a vegan and I am offended you even asked this.

Yes they have to also give their pets vegan of at least vegetarian food.

Most vegans feed their pets meat, i feed my dog vegan food because they can have it exclusively and still be healthy, but i feed my cat meat occasionally because they need it to be healthy (accourding to my vet). I believe in feeding them as much vegetarian food as i can without them becoming unhealthy but most pet caretakers or owners dont do this, probably because vegan pet food is hard to find or they dont think about it or know better. I wouldn't feed them only vegan food if i notice they become unhealthy.

I guess they don't have pets, cuz the whole point of their revolution is 'Animal lives matter' and if they confine an animal to a limited space what they're letting it to live in, in contradicts their own ideals.

But if we see normal vegans who are just vegans cuz of lactose intolerance and stuff then ig they'll give that type of diet to their pets or else they'll pet a herbivore.

Just because cause I have chosen to not consume meat, it doesn't mean I won't give my dog meat.
He needs it. It is my responsibility to make sure he gets what he needs.
I wouldn't force my diet on my pet, that would be inhumane.

I’m a vegan and no I do not give my dog and cat vegan food. That would be considered animal cruelty because dogs and cats, naturally, need meat. I would be depriving them of essential nutrients.

It depends on the vegan. For some, there is accessible, vegan food that is safe for animals. For a lot others, it isn't a possibility. That's why I put a lot of pressure on people to really consider the necessity of companion animals.

If they are the kind that force their lifestyle on their pets, yeah they shouldn't be allowed.

I had a family member with a cat, she's vegan, she forced that cat to love that lifestyle.. We ended up rescuing the cat because when we visited it was nearly dead. Her children were pretty bad off too, they looked like they came from Ethiopia. Like they hadn't eaten in months. Reported her for child abuse too.

You're missing the my problem with that is I'm not cooking for them. I'm the cook in my home, we either eat the same things or not at all. The way I was raised and it's the way I will raise my kids. If they want to be vegan after they leave my home that's a different matter.

There is pet food that is vegetarian or vegan. But I would advise against it for dogs and cats since they're carnivores and might get sick from eating it (they can't digest plants that well).

Humans are omnivores. Most animals are not. If a vegan does not give a carnivore meat, they are going to kill the animal. It's not hypocrisy. That's just nature and science.
