Questions about how people identify their sexuality and themselves?

Anonymous
I respect people who are transgendered, like others of the same genders, etc. and I'm interested in how people identify themselves and their sexuality.

(1) If a cis female likes another female, wouldn't she still be "she/her/hers" who likes another female. Does that make the person "they/them/theirs," or only if the person identifies as so?

(2) A trans-male is in a relationship with another male. I thought about this for a while... So it's different from a female liking guys, that's because the person likes guys, but don't feel, or identify the person self as a female?
