Being the girl/woman that you are, NOT who someone else wants or things you should be.

I hope this isn’t too long, but I think it needs to be said.

I see a lot of questions on GAG that make me cringe, but I answer them anyway. Many of them are like this;

Being the girl/woman that you are, NOT who someone else wants or things you should be.

How do I become more girly?

The answer to that one is very simple: if you are a girl, you ARE “girly”, even if you are a tomboy. It doesn’t matter if you are into pink and sparkly things or not. You can wear whatever you like, whether you feel more comfortable in combat boots and a pair of jeans, or an evening gown with stilettos. It doesn’t MATTER! What matters is YOU being who YOU ARE!

If you aren’t into romance novels and hair accessories it is not a big deal! It doesn’t make you any less of a girl than if you were! If you are into getting dirty working on cars, motorcycles, or home projects, that doesn’t mean that you lose your team pink membership card.

Being a woman is hard enough without worrying about checking the boxes of what it means to be a girl. The beautiful thing is that WE get to decide what kind of girl we want to be.

Good luck and I hope that each of us can rock being the girl that we are.

Be unique!

Be comfortable!

BE YOU!
