Question

She was showing signals that she likes me, eg: enlarge irises, mild flirting and we had this conversation over text where she called me cupcake and used :p, :) and stuff like that a lot. It was a fantasy conversation about being lost at sea and she started it.

I wanted to tell her I like her (I have for some time).

Here is the dialogue to the conversation

Any ideas to what this means? This was 4 weeks ago. Since, she has stared at me constantly in assembly and her friends and herself are stalking me on Facebook. She stares at me the like she wants me but walks another route to avoild talking me. Does she want me to make the first move? At one point she said "the tranquil gentleman" (me) and the "psycho rocker" (her). A perfect combination :p. I have honestly cried my heart out over this. Please help!

It's not her iris that you thought was enlarging, I think you confused iris with her pupils, which were dilating in response to the the light in the area or if she's tweaking, not because she is aroused. There's different types of flirting: You got a friendly flirt and you got the other one that confirms attraction for each other leading to other things.

The text means she has issues and she is trying to figure herself out and putting you to the mix won't be fair to you and her... so she doesn't like you like that. If you need another point, her follow on message, "... promise me you'll find a cute girl,..." might help you realize she's not interested.

She looks at you from a distance to keep that distance hoping that this will help you move on with whatever you be feeling, whether it might have been an infatuation due to the fact of her being nice to you and shit.

Move on homie, you still young. Plenty of ladies that has no life issues or drama to chose from.

Uh so you may have shown it too much to her and she noticed it which probably creeped her out so she asked you about it and when her suspicions were confirmed she just wants to check if you're still interested (not that she likes you). Also, you might have acted way too desperate to be around her (just happened to me) so she might have liked you but felt that you were/are too clingy and is also checking to see if you still like her.

I had a similar situation with a woman at work, said i liked her and that i wanted us to be friends (platonic, not f/buddies), she knew i had a g/f and yep bam same thing, avoids me like the plague but always stares.
