Well on the one hand, if you told him not to call you babe, I get it, but some men usually just say babe when they are talking to you because they think you are pretty. He called you beautiful which is kind of him to say so the way I would have responded was with a thank you. You don't have to say you have a boyfriend because he is just some man acknowledging your beauty on the internet, it's not like he wants to be your boyfriend or send nudes, but on the other hand, he shouldn't have reacted in such a childish way. He should have realized that his intentions werent clear to you and he could have just apologized and said something like "I just wanted to tell you that you were beautiful" but instead he called you disrespectful when you just had no clue what his intentions were. I think that it was just a misunderstanding

Honestly, you didn't really say anything wrong, I mean I know that "I have a boyfriend" is kind of a classic thing to tell a guy when you dont want anything with him, but he should also respect what you said, and just because he didn't get what he wanted, doesn't mean your disrespectful. Honestly I felt a little uncomfortable reading his text to you, so I think you did fine.

Yeah I don’t think you were. People can sometimes be a little creepy like that lol... you said what you needed to anyways. It’s less creepy though when the guy doesn’t/wouldn’t talk about inappropriate topics for a lack of any reasons and if he’s of the same generation as you. Like how I’m Gen Z and it’s not as creepy to talk to someone who’s also Gen Z (similar age).
