Why would these girls get mad at me for calling a girl that hit on me at the gym creepy?

It's not creepy if they do it, but if someone else does it is.

It's less about girls and more just inexperienced hormonal defensive lack of logic.

If you feel confident, I'd consider trying to share your experiences as well. Best case, you challenge their casual sexism (don't use that phrase or they'll probably cry wolf on you or otherwise overreact - they sound like the types who don't think women can be sexist) and show them that unwarranted advances go both ways. Worst case, they insult you and attempt to belittle you (and in doing so prove that they're trash).

But honestly, girls like that probably won't listen to you.

Let them grow older. They'll figure it out. You don't need to teach them.

I’ll let you in on something. If she is wearing skin tight clothes, gets her hair done, and is wearing makeup... she is in there for attention with the secondary motivation of becoming fit. The reason I’m saying this is I go to the gym every single day and I have said that these guys that come up to me are annoying but guess what... I secretly love it and it boosts my ego. Creepy is more than someone talking to ir approaching... o think they werw being too general. If a rwally hot guy they liked approached at the gym... theyd be giddy with joy.

It is sexist hypocrisy, but that seems to be the norm. I also dislike having my workouts disturbed, and remove my glasses do I can't see others well. I also try to keep a stern-looking face on, so people think I'm upset and rage-lifting. Guys easily see through this ploy, and I've met some good workout pals. Women won't approach, and barely look from what I'm told. Wearing loose clothing also helps.

Because they're hypocrites. They believe that women can't be creepy and that only guys are creepy. They think that their behaviour is okay and they should be able to get away with whatever because their intentions are "pure", while guys have to be held to a higher standard because they're all "perverts". Apparently it does change when the genders are reversed. I hate that when girls say it's not okay for a boy to do something but then when a girl does it it's okay. I never understood why they do that. It's like some girls think they have special privileges over boys.

Women can be creepy too. A person introducing themselves to a stranger isn’t inherently creepy, but if she repeatedly kept trying to do it and you were uninterested then yeah it’s creepy.
