Both have their different qualities but why I would choose a shy girl is because, It's a fun playing around, teasing each other, having romance. And when she is comfortable around you she will bring that wild side of her and that's what amazing about shy girls. You get surprises.

Shy girls I find are attractive in a sweet/ "kawaii" kinda way, whereas confident girls I find are attractive in the way they can work a room and have all eyes on them without getting self conscious. Shy girls could come straight out of a Studio Ghibli film, confident girls could be one of the Bond Girls from a 007 film

I think you mistake "confident" with more 'extroverted' girls. Shy girls can have confidence, who said they can't? They just don't want to express themsevles as much. I prefer the shy ones over the ones that stand out more. Because the shy girls don't feel the need to stand out and seek attention on the same level in contrast to the girls who aren't shy. In both my personal experience and that of people around me, they also bring less drama.

Somewhere in between. Confident girls can get annoying and don’t know when to shut up. Shy girls can be hard to talk to because they are so shy you have to keep the conversation going all the time and there response maybe only a few words and it gets draining always trying to think of things to say because she doesn’t open up and it can just get boring.

Either. As long it doesn't hinder the communication between us and she feels comfortable around, I'm all okay with whatever she is generally.

Shy girls can still be confident with themselves, they are just less social. I've been attracted to less social girls, as long as I meet her in a shared environment and she shares beliefs, it makes no difference.
I like shy girls, they don’t talk much, so when I get to talk with them, I can learn a whole lot about them :)

Confident gals. Shy girls are dead weight and I have to do every thing for them they can't even make decisions. And at dinner date time they don't speak they just nod their head a little bit
Confident and friendly woman are the best as they make you feel welcomed. Shy woman make you feel like you are bothering them which is a turn off to me.
