While I agree with the first part of your answer, I am totally disagree with the last part.If you want to put it correctly, you would have said"Why is there always a competition". Full stop.Competing for superiority is not limited to genders but to people's stupidity. Why do you have sports competitions, why do you have any competition at all? It is because people want to be better than others and that is where the problem lies.No competition = much less problems. Why does the PSG need to compete against the OM? That is so stupid. And it starts there with sports and not with genders.
Wait competition is good because it means the best people get where were they should be. For example if no competition that means the worst people get in power at work positions. That boss you really hate. Probably won more to do with favors then skills. Where competition is too much is this men vs women thing. We both have our skills. We are equal in just different ways.
@perfectchaos I partially disagree with you. Competition is seldom good because it singles people out. The worst people get the job in any case.Do you really believe that the top management of any company gets the job done? Of course not. They take all the credit for what others have achieved. They are hired because their achievement record was good. However, they did not achieve anything. The employees did but he/she took the credit for the achievement.
Hold on. It completely depends. Competition is really good in business. Yes it singles people out in certain situations and that can be a really good thing. I got singled out for my work because I understand code real good and found a way to reduce bugs on our grate systems at work. If it was not competition based my coworker I will call Bob can not read a single line a code would have been put into a more coding position. Competition helps weed out our own strengths. I have no clue what you do for work but ever get annoyed that someone who has less skills than you gets a job you are really good at? You can thank lack of competition for that.
@perfectchaos She is looking at this topic through the lens of her world view, which is influenced by her gender, in which her own traits influence her view on competition. Unfortunately she is being too simplistic. She herself competes with other women (if she is heterosexual) for the best man she can get. Nature is swimming in competition, nevermind society or an individual business.
I know I was avoiding that because it sounds awful to people who hate competition I find. Usually have better luck explaining it through work because most people have been cheated by favors of the competition of hard work.
@perfectchaos it's not a bad approach, but it usually hits home better if you can point out that she actively engages in something she vocally opposes ;)
Ye but women have more roles and fullfill more
Giving birth and that's about it 😂
