So do you like that it's more brutal? Do you regularly do it?
I like that you can use the elbows , the knees, sweeps those are all very strong tools. And once a week a friend trains with me, it's either that or a different sport
Sounds tough! How exactly do you win in Muay Thai if you can use pretty much everything? Does that also mean you're allowed to use choke holds and do take downs etc?
Either by getting knocked against the canvas, or just being unable to fight or performing better than the other, but then it's like with the jury deciding
And it is tough cause she's a freak and it makes me nervous and excited at the same time
She's that person that when you ask her what we're gonna do for training, and she gives you a grin, that you feel uneasy. That kind of training hell
So if you do a successful sweep or takedown you automatically win? And what got you into it? Have you ever done it with girls or guys or just your friend?
No you just get back up. With girls and guys but mainly with her, cause she's my best friend and that makes it very easy to get personal training. What got me into it, she did, she grew up with it and already seemed to be a natural at it.
Well you said you lose if you get knocked on the canvas. So I guess that just counts as 1 point? So how do you usually do vs other girls and guys? Do you think girls in general can compete with guys in the sport?
That counts as a win. I meant actually getting knocked out, KO
face down against the canvas :p
Sounds brutal. Have you ever been knocked out or knocked out anyone? If so how did it happen? And okay but let's say I take you down onto the canvas. You aren't KOed but clearly thrown to the ground. What happens then? And why does it matter if you are face down?
no and no, but tko's maybe, I just spar I don't do it competitively and nooooooo XD don't take the face down thing so seriously. Also when you get thrown on the floor, you get back up, asap
I see. But what if someone throws you the floor and then puts you in a hold like an arm bar or something? Is that allowed? Since you said you can do anything :p And do you have a favorite move you like doing when sparring? Do you ever get a little competitive?
That's a different sport, like mma or judo or something jujitsu
Also TKOs? What counts as a TKO? You're saying you've gotten TKOs before or had them done to you? How did that happen?
I said 'pretty much' because of the elbow thing, knees, it's not even frowned upon to kick a downed opponent, which is crazy to me
I do get competitive, especially against her because we spar a lot so you know eachother a lot.My "favorite move" don't judge me, it's pretty lame... but leg kicks, they're oddly satisfying to me
Sorry didn't realize you responded lol. Yeah if it's okay to kick a down opponent that's nuts! I think even MMA has soccer kicks on a downed opponent as illegal. So if that's allowed would takedowns, slams, wrestling also be allowed? Sounds like you're saying anything goes. And leg kicks... yeah that's kind of lame as a finishing move lol. But effective I guess. Do you think you could take your friend in a real match now?
Thanks for MHO honey

Why definitely MMA? Have you done it a lot?
No I just think it’s a beautiful sport. You learn discipline, how to focus and think fast.
Something on my bucket list to master one day
Fair enough. MMA incorporates all kinds of different styles, is there a particular fighting style you like? And do you think you currently could get good at it fast if you tried?
I have fast reflexes and I’m quick, prolly because I played softball and danced back in the day so yeah
So if you did MMA what do you think your fighting style would be since you're quick? Boxing? Kickboxing? Grappling? Something in between?
I would first want to learn karate as the foundation of my training.. then jujitsu then kick boxing
