I watched a movie where a woman was badgered to stop drinking and she kept drinking telling them to get lost so it makes me wonder how often this happens.. 🤔
I don’t think a lot of women do that. At least not OPENLY like the woman in the movie you watched. Because that’s one bad behavior that EVERYONE will call you out for. It makes the woman look like a monster. So, I can say that I personally would never drink while pregnant and I don’t know if anyone who has done that. But, I don’t know what goes on behind other women’s closed doors. I think women who do drink while pregnant are probably addicts who have a very hard time giving alcohol up. And I do know a woman who smoked cigarettes while pregnant. Right up till the end of her pregnancy.

I did on all my pregnancies and all 3 turned out fine. With that said i was drinking like 2-3 sips once per pregnancy. With my daughter's pregnancy i took a small sip because it was at my father in law's wake at a winery

Never gonna be pregnant, but if I did end up pregnant by some horrible chance, no. I wouldn't consume any alcohol. Or drugs. Maybe painkillers if I couldn't handle the pain, but only a bit.
The baby my body would be constructing has no choice or say in the nutrients and substances it's pulling from my body.
It would be my responsibility to keep it healthy and safe. FAS and other syndromes and defeciencies caused by substance use during pregnancy are terrible and lifelong.
I'd already be bringing a kid into this hellscape. Why would I make their life even worse by making them sick before they even had a chance?

Lots of precautions in the west cultural to the extreme... i understand some food/activities can harm the baby. So does doing nothing... one can lose a baby...
know yourself, know your body... take life in moderation with everything you do.
i ate raw fish (sashimi) and had my tea (caffeine) daily... my mom was running around, climbing when 9 months pregnant.. all her kids (4) my kids are doing well...
what they are saying are those who are alcoholics or drinks 6-7 cups of coffee to not do it... the other extreme.
enjoy life and be smart with your decisions... don’t let this society put fear in you.
I do not recommend not even a tipple. The defects children can have is upsetting. Have kids when you're past drinking, when drinking is a friend you've not seen in a while, that's still brings you joy but you don't need to see all the time because you know the loves still there. You know where I'm going with this? Just leave it out!

It's the worst decision you could make while pregnant. A single drinking binge has lifelong consequences for the fetus as alcohol is a substance that cannot be "filtered out" from the bloodstream and thus it affects human development permanently. Fetal alcohol syndrome has physical symptoms, but it is also related to learning difficulties, birth complications and low birth weight, and mental illness among other things. It tends to make life more difficult for the innocent fetus affected by it, so there is never an okay time or amount to drink when someone is pregnant.

No, that is irresponsible to drink alcohol while you’re pregnant. The fetus will have fetus alcohol syndrome or even lead to even more complications like death. I wouldn’t risk it only mothers who care nothing about their body and baby will put themselves in harm way.
I don’t want to make my kid have mental and physical disabilities so that is a huge NO. I’ve witnessed mothers struggle to raise their child with mental disabilities and I can imagine raising one with physical difficulties is as difficult. It costs much money and takes a lot of time and effort.

No, absolutely not. As soon as I discovered I was pregnant last year I stopped all alcohol immediately, and even now nine months after giving birth and still breastfeeding, I will only have extremely small amounts.

It’s dangerous to drink alcohol while pregnant. But also, I was an accident and my mom told me she didn’t know she was pregnant for like 2 months and drank the whole time before she knew. However, I would never take the chance.

No way! I wouldn't do something foolish like that to hurt my child's health and make them suffer and possibly be born with something. They matter more to me than getting drunk. If i had to quit drinking i will. Its not a big deal to me or a joy as being a mother.
