I hung out with a group for a few years, I didn't have a romantic relationship with any of them, I kept my romantic self outside of this group, later a new girlfriend saw pictures from that time period and pointed out that in 99% of them the same girl was beside me, and she wasn't in the pictures at all of the other 1%

She thinks I hooked up with her even though I have told her many many times that I did not, she still deep down things I did, to be honest about it, I never tried because I didn't want to fuck up the group dynamic, it helped that I had opportunities elsewhere.

I’d say it’s probably not a coincidence. I’ve purposely tried to stand next to a guy a liked in a group photo so our bodies can touch and we can be physically close to each other. Girls do silly things like that.

Probably thinks she doesn’t have a chance with you, worried you won’t like her back, or just too shy to make a move. It’s the kinda thing she’ll regret later and be like “why was I so scared? That was stupid.” Orrrrr maybe we’re just overthinking it. If you think you may like her back, make a move and see what happens! Or just straight up ask her if she likes you. Life is too short to waste time.
