It depends on what you mean by a tomboy. It's a subjective term. I have no interest in girls who dress like the one in the photo you posted.
I like feminine women who also are not just soft, fragile little flowers who are afraid of getting dirty and doing physical things. My wife embraces her femininity and doesn't dress like a guy, but she also loves to go hiking, skiing and fishing with me and she is a great softball player. She dresses and behaves like a lady but she doesn't have long fingernails because they get broken when she does the activities we enjoy. She is very capable but doesn't try to hide her vulnerability and she doesn't hesitate to ask for my help with things because she doesn't feel the need to constantly prove she can do everything herself. In bed she is very submissive and feminine like a woman should be. She is the perfect woman in my opinion.
I enjoy being with a "tom boy" in an appropriate situation, like camping, hiking, target practice, crazy sex, etc. Having to deal with a masculine-acting girl in a normal environment would be rather off-putting, to say the least. There is a time and a place for everything.
I like when a woman wants to go camping, hunting, hiking, sports, etc with me as bonding activities but what I desire physically, sexually, emotionally is a feminine appearance, somewhat submissive (not domineering over me or pushing radical feminism down my throat), shaved, and wanting to have a nuclear family together, etc. Note, this is my ideal but I've been flexible on some things in the past.
If you wear an evening gown to a baseball game that I took you to, you're going to look really out of place, but, same as if I took you to a nice dinner place and you wore a t shirt and jeans. It's just not appropriate.
Again, too much of one thing, is well, exactly that, TOO MUCh
Tomboys are usually pretty fun to be around and make good friends, I am not against dating one either because usually they still have a girly side somewhere.
Some are attractive, some are too much. Only those girls who are naturally a bit more masculine can pull it off and still look feminine in their own way, while others just come off as tryhards and it is not flattering.
Fun! Depending on their interests of course. Best of both worlds, in many cases. Better friendship possibilities than most women, but because she's a woman there's a chance of romance too, which is really appealing to lots of guys.

Half the women in my family are, though they've gotten more feminine with time. My sister still hunts and guts deer and fish. She's more of a tom girl. It's just a personality type.

They're cool as friends, but I couldn't date one. They're not for me.
They make awesome women.. best girl friends Because we identify with each other personality we are less apprehensive allowing more strait forward and solid communication.. more like boys without out actually being one.
