Why women smile at men who sexually harass us.

But basically people on here love to tell me I must like being sexually harassed at work or some other victim blaming thing. Yeah when I ignore them they dont stop. When i started acting more courteous. And happy to see theae guys as if they were a buddy... Thats when they stopped poking the bear and harassing me as much.

If other guys suggest ignoring the problem it might be because they think you may be overreacting to or misunderstanding normal male behavior.

Some women on here are on a hair trigger and see normal behavior as malicious.

Guys do take sexual abuse seriously.

I had no context as to the nature of the abuse. My comment was an attempt to rationalize a reason for the askers experience in the question. Nothing more.

@Bi64evo8 I would be overjoyed to have someone of the opposite sex paid attention to me and even moreso if they hit on me.
The thing you fail to understand is that men often don't get enough feedback from women about their advances so that they can adjust properly.
When men get positive feedback, like what the asker is doing, they will keep using that approach because they think it works. Her smiling only reinforces the bad behavior.

At least you are capable of recognizing your faults. That's a step up from a lot of women on here.
Don't get me started on how toxic Disney movies can be.
If toxic masculinity is a thing, in my opinion a lot of Disney movies would define toxic femininity
