Boys were the same way, when I went to school, and I imagine they still are, now.

It's likely because kids that age just aren't used to getting naked in front of anyone, even just to change, regardless of gender. It can be awkward for anybody.

You're raised to practice modesty, and now you're being told to change in front of people. It's not something most people are used to doing.

Well for one most people aren’t used to getting undressed in front of other people. People are also scared too that others may judge them. Maybe one girl has developed more than others, so others may feel inferior to her. The same w young boys. People have insecurities as it is already, maybe blemishes on their body or overweight so they don’t want others to see it. There’s a number of reasons.

Probably at your age. Most of the girls are starting puberty. Kind of an awkward age when your bodies are becoming a young woman.
