Hovering my mouse over the anonymous does nothing. Nothing pops up. And this is why I am asking this as if there is this ability why doesn't it work?
When I hover over a normal person's name their profile pops up. When I hover over an anonymous name nothing happens.
I've ignored one wanting to follow me, she applied for following once more after that. This is like guys bothering girls online, it's annoyingly unnecessary. And those kiddos can bring one into trouble for the suspicion of attempted cyber grooming.
Lol. It's probably a bot or a spam account. No one's going to suspect you of anything unless you engage in dubious conversations with them.

Make your setting to allow followers that you permit only. They have to ask me if they want to follow me before they can.
Doesn’t matter. They can’t message you unless YOU follow THEM if you have your settings set right.

No problem, there is the option to ignore their requests or accept them.
