I find it very cool, as if we can get to each other’s unfiltered minds and know things we’d not normally know.
When people can hide behind anonymity, you'll end up with more extremes than you would in real life. Take whatever you read here with a grain of salt, and don't take anything personally. You'll always have people who enjoy pushing buttons or attempt to push themselves up by pushing others down. In reality, most people are in the middle, not at extremes.
This is a site where you can broaden your perspective, as long as you research facts elsewhere and not here. We can learn something from everyone, but learning about something is not the same as blindly believing what you read. Let what you read trigger deeper thought inside you, but read it as alternatives and opportunities, not "the" answer. People here promote their thoughts as factual and the only true answer, yet everyone's perspective and life are different, so only absorb that which truly makes sense to you.
Compared to what else is out there online, yeah, G@G isn’t too bad of a place to learn about how opposite genders think.
The website is literally called girls ask guys, and that seems to keep happening, so I suppose the name itself helps encourage people to ask questions geared towards the opposite sex.
Would I consider G@G very good?

But, I’ve had a pretty decent time here, as long as I don’t entertain the trolls and rude people.
I’ve made friends and have had some really nice conversations.
And it’s a nice alternative to Reddit. 🙂

I don't think any social networking site, or gag is good way to learn about the opposite sex. Plus we can never truly learn about the opposite sex, because every person male and female is different, wants, needs, expectations.
If you want to learn more about a person, then its best to actually socially interact with them face to face.
You can't possibly judge what a female and male think, just by what one or few people say. Example, A few guys say, they only date women with big boobs, But that is not true for me, I don't like big boobs.
Very good maybe notes but it’s a good place. I think it definitely adds value. Even the anonymous feature- with all of the negatives that come from it can be helpful in at least understanding certain mindsets and general feelings. I wouldn’t take any one opinion as the whole truth, but combined you get some pretty good ideas.
Do whatcha need to do, I enjoy your questions though. A lot of interesting and thought provoking.
I've learned that one gal to the next can be very different altogether. Advise can be just as devastatingly wrong as going on my own impulses. You really have to be lucky enough to find someone who thinks the same as yourself and has the same values.
GaG users are pretty good about sharing their opinions, so yeah, you can learn about the opposite sex and their mindset. Be careful, though, to generalize. Everyone is different.

Not really. You don't have a representative cross section to begin with and that doesn't include profiles where men are pretending to be women and vice versa.
Sadly, no. GaG is over-represented by losers, misfits and psychos. It doesn't give you an insight into how "normal" people think.

Sort of. I think you'll get a consensus on some things, and 100 different answers on other things. You also have to factor in how honest people may or may not be when replying.

Within reason. We have to be careful of the trolls and of the people on the fringes who are not very representative of the average person.
It does give you a wide variety of thoughts from various people and if you filter the comments, there are things you can learn.
