Does "Mens Rights" equal weakness?

So I've noticed that their are a lot of men that speak on wanting equal rights. Such as, domestic violence protection, equal punishment for women that rape men etc. But I've also noticed that its usually men that are less masculine that make emphasis on these "rights". For example, I've seen post on GAG about rape and sometimes men will say "well women rape men too" or "men are victims too, not on only women". But when l ask the men in my life about these things they look at me like im crazy or they are confused by what I'm asking. Usually the men l ask are very physically and mentally strong. My best friends boyfriend's brother is in the NFL. So often we will hang out with the players. When l asked them if a woman could rape them they fell over laughing at me like ld made the funniest joke ever. I was surprised by their reaction. Its not even something they even ever considered. And when l get into a fight with my boyfriend and hit him (he is 6'4 270 pure muscle) he thinks its cute. But when my sister and her boyfriend fight, he is (5'9 180 and metro) he gets upset if she raises her voice. So in my personal observation, its only the weaker men that care about these "Mens Rights"!

  • Are the big, strong, independent women the ones complaining about women's rights? No, it's the weaker ones who would benefit from having them. The strong, independent women are already doing just fine. No surprise, it's the same for men - the strong ones are already doing just fine.

Either equality is important or it isn't. You can't have it both ways.

  • Sounds like nonsense.

Egalitarianism is important, regardless of the traits of the speaker.
Claiming that only weak men oppose sexism is like claiming only racial minorities can oppose racism.

    • That is true. So why don't more strong men speak up. They are clueless about mens rights

    • Well, I'm sure there are many that do.

But for some, they might choose to remain silent for exactly the sexism that you demonstrated - they don't want to be labelled 'weak men'.

there's no such things as mens right? we don't HAVE rights... apparently women took it all.
Its not about right its about "Equal Treatment"...
women have it too damn easy in the world... and i believe that should chance. in the places that it HAS changed.. there has been less trouble.

  • That's some classic sexism, I'm no weak guy but it doesn't matter how strong you are if you get drugged. Women can have sex with you while you are blackout drunk then claim they were raped, or they have a child and make you pay.

    • How can she rape you drugged? Can a man get hard if the aren't conscious? I seriously don't know the answer to that question.

    • You can, there are actually drugs specifically made for that

    • O wow. I never knew that. Whole new perspective.

  • You are but one person coming from one background of life, you don't speak for all men or even men in that regard

    • True. Just sharing my observations.

  • I dont think you understand something. It has nothing to do with being weak or strong. Iam 6'2, athletic build, i play football (soccer), run 10 miles everyday, etc... iam not afraid a woman will hurt me, but its not about me.
There are for example disabled men who get abused by their wife or their nurses. The biggest scientist of our time Stephen hawking was a victim of domestic abuse for years by his second wife. He is disabled and he can't defend himself at all.
My cousin was sexually molested by his aunt when he was 7, she was making him finger her and do oral to her by force.
There are countless other examples why women should nto get awat with violence or and sexual abuse.
As far as my girlfriend punching me that will never happen, she is 19yo but she is mature, respectful and she have maners.
I would neevr be with a crazy bitch who can't control her maners and dont even have enough respect for me not to punch me not because i would be hurt or naything its just a huge turn off for me.

    • *not get away

    • *control her emotions
      urghh

    • In these cases you named it would fall more under the category of child molestation and Disability Abuse. And those bitches should be locked up forever.

  • hun what u r talking about r two diffrent subjects that can be confused as one those who want equal rights and all of that can't be called men as being a man has nothing to do with age and yes if im a man u bet that im not gonna be forced to do anything against my will and men dont ask others to give them whats thiers they just dont they go get it

  • Even if it is "weaker men" you are VERY callous towards them. Do you not see them as human beings worthy of respect? If that is the case, then fuck you you trash human being.

  • You're an idiot. Underage boys raped by their teachers are weak? Tell that to boys around 12 to 14 years old raped by their teachers. Women usually uses weapons and if a guy hits her back for self defense she can call the police to have him arrested not her.
Men do get raped at gun point. Do you seriously think a man can beat a gun?

  • Yes, i agree with you. But not only do i think of men's rights in a negative light, i also have the perseption that the only women in favor of "womens rights" are just a bunch of unattractive controlling cunts

  • So with your logic only weak women want equal right? And NFL players might have laughed at you because they are usually the ones raping or beating on women.

  • Yeah because it's hilarious to always be considered the aggressor, and thus the one that goes to jail, if a woman so much as raises her voice.

It's pretty damn funny to know you'll be the one on the hook for Vagimony, too.

Oh, and it's a fuckin RIOT knowing that all it takes is one woman at work deciding she's offended about something, ANYTHING, that day, and every man in the place can be fired, no questions asked.

It's a hoot to be considered completely expendable. I know I get a chuckle out of it every night.

    • I'm not an MRA, by the way. I think they're fucking idiots. They're trying to get society to see men as human, but they want to use the same tactics that the hatepigs used. They think they're going to out-pig the hatepigs.

Sorry guys, stamping your feet and demand that *someone* do *something* only works for women. When men want to see change, it gets done exactly one way: breaking shit and stacking bodies.

  • Well if she's ugly i care if im raped lol and if im attacked by a women she's getting it like a man i don't give no fucks

  • For the most part I would agree with you, that only less masculine men tend to complain about it. However there is the thing to think that should a woman have less prison time for stabbing a person or get custody of a child even if she is less fit to just cause she's a woman? Because those situations happen quite often. I think those "men's rights activists" overdo it most of the time, but there are some good points they have in my opinion. I also think your example between you and your sister's boyfriend was a bad one. If it is a playful hit, like I make a sarcastic comment and my girlfriend punches me in the arm jokingly, then that is fine. But if she is hitting me and/or yelling at me in an attempt to hurt me, even if the attack seems pathetic to me, then we are going to have a problem. I think that is more because how I was raised to be respectful than because of being wimpy or unmasculine.

    • I agree with you on that. But l punch my boyfriend as hard as possible but usually in a non sensitive area like his chest or arms. And he just looks at me like "stop wasting your energy".

    • Show All
    • Wow! Not its no joking scenario. I actually hit him but he knows its out of hurt and frustration. Id never hit him to hurt him even if l could.

    • I have a problem with that, but to each their own. As long as you aren't messing with my life in any possible way, I don't care.

  • And that's as offensive as saying that only manly lesbian butch bulldyke women would ever want to leave the kitchen or the bedroom and enter a mans world, with all the mental burdens of owning money, property and voting.

It doesn't matter a good god damn to me who you hang around with. But the idea that only weak men care about equality, is so borderline retarded I have to assume you're a troll.

  • This sounds like a lot of victim blaming to me...

''When l asked them if a woman could rape them they fell over laughing at me like ld made the funniest joke ever. ''

I bet the guy that was drugged, tied up, force fed viagra and raped wouldn't be laughing at that question. That guy I know that was banged up after a false allegation might not be laughing either.

I don't care who is perceived to be weaker, male, or female. All I am interested in is equal treatment / punishment, and equal rights. Justice is not only for the weak, strong, or a particular race, it is supposed to be for everyone.

As for you hitting your boyfriend during an argument, that is dysfunctional and foolish, not cute. It's a simple, and very basic matter of respect.

  • Well off guys aren't going to think they need men's rights, that doesn't surprise me and that doesn't mean shite, they don't need it until they do. Even if you don't think it could happen, *there's no reason not to have the same rights and respect.*

But these things do happen, and if your brother gets a divorce and gets fucked in family court then it won't be so funny. If your brother gets falsely accused, then it won't be so funny. If a girl says she'll accuse him of rape if he doesn't have sex with her, then your brother was just raped and it won't be so funny. Just an accusation could get him into serious trouble with the NFL, no? So it's not like that's an unrealistic threat.

In my experience, the really weak men go to feminism, men who end up in men's rights circles are average guys to well off guys that usually had something bad happen to them that got them involved. Although in recent years it seems like there's just more normal people involved that are paying attention to obvious needs for human rights.
