It's an insult. I hate to tell you that. Because that's really rude of the guy. I'm quite skinny and I have got comments like that. Not from guys though. Other girls. I have had enormous insecurities of my weight before, but I just haven't managed to get more body mass...
I take it as a compliment because I wish I was skinnier. I’m currently on a diet to lose weight so I can get a boyfriend
You should not continue that diet. Getting a boyfriend isn't linked with weight. I am skinny and I have never had one. But take it as a compliment, build your self esteem better, it will help you with your goal 😊
And diets aren't often healthy. You should just eat properly five or six times a day and exercise or choose to walk instead of taking the car. That's a way easier and healthier way to lose weight.
Thanks for the MHO ✨ ☺
It is not a compliment. But he might be genuinely concerned for your health. Do you have an eating disorder?
No I don’t and I don’t see how he would be concerned if he’s just a friend, I don’t have a boyfriend (sadly)
That is good to hear. Maybe he is concerned because you are both human beings and they in general care about each other? Sorry to hear that. Are you hot?
No, I’m an ugly, weird, data’s
I doubt it. You just said someone said you were skinny?
Yeah because he’s just trying to make me feel better about my hideous self
Can I see?
Not a complement. It sucks because people’s appearance doesn’t always match their weight. I’m lucky because even if I’m underweight (which I more or less have always been by a small amount) I don’t look it because I have a ‘fleshy’ body type. Some women are heavier than me but they look skinnier since they are less fleshy. It sucks but that guy is a dick.
I think the term you are referring to here is "skinny fat". You can have a ralatively high fat percentage while being under weight if you don't have enough muscles. And yes, one can look perfectly thin and defined with a healthy weight if they have an equivalent muscle mass.
@Hurlyburly I have i high fat percentage that’s true but even when I was more muscular I still didn’t look as skeletal as some women do. I think it has more to do with the actual distribution of fat as opposed to the amount. I think girls worth bigger bone structures are more prone to looking skinny, because the fat covers a greater area.
No, not a complement. It means he thinks you need to eat something.
It's neither a compliment nor an insult but sounds more like a statement of concern.
It's not a compliment I feel like that's the guy saying you should gain a little bit of weight
Gaining weight is a bad thing
Yeah but being too underweight can also be a bad thing
But it is possible that you just don't meet the weight requirements of that guy. In my opinion skinny is good but there is such thing as too skinny.
There is no such thing as too skinny. I think the thinner the better. I’m gonna lose weight until I get a boyfriend
Now as mentioned in my opinion skinnier is better but just don't lose too much weight ok.
No such thing as losing too much weight.
Well health wise there is such thing as loosing too much weight.
Ehhh I’m in perfect health so I won’t get sick.
Alright then it's fine I guess.
not very nice saying that to a girl he should show the girl respect girls are not daft
He thinks you dont eat enough lol I don't know im only 100 pounds and i eat 8 meals a day
It depends on how you take it. Some girls are more worried about appearance than health.
Neither. It means he's worried about your health and wants you to eat more.
The clue is in the word 'unhealthily'.
