So in my opinion what makes a man a gentleman is not the way he talks, how educated or how he walks, but how considerate, tactful and chivalrous he is.
Of course there are exceptions in every case, thus it's not "dead" entirely per se. I take that back. My point is men are no longer as "chivalrous" as they used to be (if we go by historical accounts , but I guess we will never know), and the number of men who really are so, are so less when compared to the others, that it's negligible. Then most men are not "chivalrous" or at least are not willing to be. And that actually narrows down the "gentleman" to a very short range.
A gentleman does not out him self first. He puts his lady first. He will love her better than he loves himself. He will alway ask her how she is doing and when she not good he will try to cheer her up.
Women like the gentleman? For real? Hell, all this time I thought for sure they didn't care nor appreciated them anymore. Hence why they would be in the friendzone. ... or just not their type.

You only have to pay for her dinner and yours to be called a gentleman. If you don't pay, then half of women will give you a disgusted and nasty look because "you are not a gentleman".

Mostly I think a gentleman is a guy with good self control who respects women.
Being polite, caring and sensitive and someone who wants a lady to be a lady.
Just being polite and respectful. Not so much that it's awkward, but enough.

Chivalry is dead. Equality is the order of the day. Sorry to say. (Wow that rhymes, huh!!)
I have been proved that chivalry is not dead but just rare and uncommon.

I agree with that
A gentleman will die an incel, because women get the clitty tingles for bad boys who treat them poorly.
Decent men need not apply.
If you want an idea what is a gentleman, understand the character of Bruce Wayne (Batman) in The Dark Knight movies or James Bond ☺
Someone who is loving, joyful, peace-loving, patient, kind, goodhearted, faithful, gentle, and self-controled.
See Galatians 5:22-23 - a gentleman is of the fruit of the Spirit.

A gentleman: someone who treats a woman like a queen.
Girls don't even want a gentleman so no point trying to understand or become one.
A man takes the necessary amount of steps. A gentleman takes the extra step.
Respecting others at least as much as he respects himself.
I think the opposite of a gentleman is a hedonist.
Opens doors for me
carries heavy things for me
dresses classy,
doesn't swear
has good manners,
family values,
traditional.

Not always.
@derpyHI But money is like a magnet! It happens so very often. Not with me however because I can only fend for myself.
My boyfriend is poor af and I still love him very much
Chivalry is dead, and so is the landed gentry, so I guess, a gentleman is a dead man.
If they are honest and respect other people I guess.
A gentleman gets out of the bath to piss in the sink.
Simples...
This made me laugh.
Being courteous to all but capable of great violence when needed.
