If you mean men wearing makeup like women, then I would say no, I don't think it would look good. At least not on the vast majority of men. I think most men looks better without makeup, but that some of them may suit the no-makeup-makeup look like actors etc. A few men, especially dark looking and with a middle eastern like look, may suit eye liner. Apart from these things I would say men should avoid makeup if they wants to look good. Men won't suit eye shadows, lip sticks, rouge etc.Women also often looks better with either minimal or no makeup. Many suits the no-makeup-makeup look and having no makeup at all, but some also suits eyeliner, eye brow makeup, lipstick and eye shadows. I'm not sure if I think women suit more makeup than men better because of cultural conditioning or if it's caused by the nature - that men suits some styles better than other's because of how it compliments their shapes. Women and men have different bodies.I still think natural feminine men with a feminine fashion style would look better than manly looking women with a masculine style. I would say the Sprouse, Kaulitz and Carney brothers looks better than what Rain Dove and Elliot Sailors does. Conchita Wurst also looks better than Rain Dove. This look is okay:This makeup style is usually too much for my taste, but since this man look female like it's not that bad. He could just be a short haired woman:Captain Hook suits guy liner:And this guy suits guy liner imho:everipedia-storage.s3.amazonaws.com/.../...um.webp
While men CAN rock makeup, they don't NEED to. One of the purposes of makeup is to peacock one's appearance, to embellish or exaggerate features of the face that one thinks would benefit from the extra "oomph" provided by some applied highlights. This effect would occur doubly-so for men, since they are not only not expected to wear it, it looks weird when they do; therefore, having it on has the effect of almost "over-sharpening" their features, like looking at a TV in an electronics store with the saturation turned all the way up for the sake of making it come across as more impressive. Yes, it is noticeable, but after a certain point it almost looks "fake".When women wear makeup, they also look fake. The difference is that their "fake" appearance is the expected one and so, not having makeup on has the effect of underexposing them. In a lot of stories where women are not wearing makeup, to the grocery store or work, people around them describe their appearance as "sickly" or "lacking something". In practice, we've become so normalized to women's "makeup appearance" as their default look, that the lack of it is own it's kind of "notice", one where the woman looks "less than" because she's unmasked and "exposed".
Unattractive. For better or worse I'm big on gender roles and there being things guy shouldn't do and things girls shouldn't do. Make up, in my opinion, is something guys shouldn't do. Of course they should have the right if they choose too, but if I had my choice, I'd rather they didn't. There are plenty of men who are great at make up but it just doesn't look right. Especially the ones who won't get rid of the facial hair. It's hard to get a smooth, silky looking foundation when there's fucking hair in the way.
Many people will say NO here because our society decided that make up was only for women. But few traditional communities believe that men should put some kind of make up too. I have always preferred natural look, for men and women. So too much make up on men or women is just a big NO WAY to me.
If the dude knows how to put it on proper, sure. Also, men traditionally used makeup in 4000 BCE through the 18th century. Also, skirts, dresses (I believe) and heels were originally for men. Yay for knowing history and origin of things!https://www.byrdie.com/history-makeup-gender
Not really. Sure some can pull it off, this picture is the best I've ever seen. But most go wayyy over the top with it. Even so, doesn't really matter how far they go with it, generally speaking men can't ever seem to pull off the makeup look as well as women. Maybe that's just how I was raised to think but it just looks weird, sort of off. But eh that's just me, if a guy wants to wear makeup that's his business.
Highly personal opinion but: Regardless are you girl, boy, other, I think TOO MUCH make-up doesn't look good on nobody. Reasonable amount will, and how much is good depends on the person. I've seen people of various genders with great make-up that looks great on them, and people of various genders with bad make-up.Using make-up doesn't automatically mean you're gay, either. Sometimes you just want to look pretty and special, bringing up your best facial features.
The reason so many girls like gay men and hang out with them and are attracted to them is always because gay men aren't full of toxic masculinity like most straight men and also embrace there feminine side way more than a straight guy.I've told boys, I ain't gonna respect you until you respect that its okay to be feminine
I like this question. I remember seeing women on here saying men can wear makeup too in reference to makeup being fake. I told them men couldnt and this is why. Women will tell you that you can do something and then instantly judge you for it.
I think it's great when a guy is secure enough with his masculinity to be able to put on makeup and no t care about others' opinions. A red eyeshadow on someone with good bone structure almost always looks good, and if he wants to cover his acne or scars? So what? As long as he is confident, it's attractive.
I don't find my face more attractive with makeup.I got makeups from my girls just for fun because they like to play with my face, but would never go that way out. XD
no man can for not even women who should know how to apply make up know how to apply it to where it brings out their best features so other people do not see their bad ones
I find androgynous people most attractive. Although whenever I see someone w/ better makeup than me, I’m slightly envious.
Holy shit... Johnny depp bein all skanky sexy and throw in some eyeliner to make those eyes light up? I’m almost sure I’d keep crabs if he gave them to me lookin like that!!
I like men with makeup, especially stuff like eyeliner/mascara, they usually have quite brilliant eyes and it just accentuates it
If he's wearing make up like the dude in picture than im just going to think he's flat out gay.
Guyliner is fine but like lipstick and stuff is too much imho
Makeup doesn't have to be loud. It can just be to fix imperfections like acne. Men can wear makeup and nobody will notice. I think if done right men could make it work, but it's just a matter of if they get caught applying it lmao.
If men wore make up you women wouldn't be able to compete with our looks.
If believing that lie makes you happy then ok.
@Mrwonder All I Speak Cuzzzzz
Yes we could, you wouldn't be attracting other women, but mostly other men lol
@BrittBratt2416 Nah you're just jealous cause we have to be naturally good looking not rely on makeup
Stuff like this yes
Not gonna lie, I love a dude with some good eyeliner
I don't mind if guys wear lipstick. It can be hot but it really depends on the guy.
I get it if you're a performer like a rock star or actor. If you just a regular dude, looks like you just trying too hard.
Nobody wearing makeup is attractive. If makeup makes you attractive, then you aren't really attractive. It's the makeup they are finding attractive and not you that they are finding attractive.
Just like most things it's probably attractive if the guy is naturally attractive and unnatractive if he is not.
It depends how much. I think beard and hair are mens make up. Haha. The turkish celebrity look so different without beard in pic for example
No straight man ever wears makeup unless they are an actor acting in a movie
Actors that women swoon over
Can be attractive to some degree, some of the most influential men of our time still wear stage makeup.
Extremely unattractive. Any 'man' who does this should seriously ask themselves if they are a man.
A feminine guy is a turn of for me, so if he wears make up... just no
unless they want to become a transvestite or lady boy then forget it
It's not my thing, personally. But, if it makes them happy, I say go for it.
I'm used to it now and I don't blink an eye when I see it. I'm a Kpop fan which explains it all.
The colorful stuff, unless it's done for art or as a band thing, is usually creepy and signifies that they are probably queer.
Men are naturally blessed to look good without make up and I really love that about them...
Such a big lie
Maybe if their a rockstar or if their kissing a girl and her make up rubs off of her.
I voted A it can be attractive
Beard is make up for men
Ew, it's absolutely disgusting lmao
Real men on wear war paint
Unattractive, and should be illegal.
Unattractive. I dislike make up
That's beyond fucking gay
In reality, I won't date a man that wears make-up.
It helps if they are secretly gay.
Unless your a actor that would be ok
Not a fan
No. Just no.
I don't think it would work with my beard. LoL
I did use my gfs concealer to hide a blemish before going to a job interview once though.
In short, it looks horrible.
Depends on the man
No for me.
Just dont do it like James Charles
Men dont need make up
Beards and mustaches are men’s makeup.
@asker beard and moustache, male makeup? 🙄 Ehh. They ruin the look of men
im personally not a fan but you do you
Naw. Just naw.
Oh, I HATE IT!
It looks so wrong
Its not my thing
