What is your go to method for calming down after a heated argument?

I know i might occasionally get in heated comment sections on the internet like all of us have before, but im often very good about controlling my anger in public. Earlier today I lost that control and tore into a co worker I caught trying to make another co worker look bad. He was basically trying to get a co worker in trouble and it just pushed me to far and I tore into him.

In the moment it felt right like I needed to get it out. But now hours later I feel disgusted that I showed my ass like that.

I did some deep breathing exercises and some meditation but I still feel disgusted.

What methods do you use to let go of anger or move past an angry verbal outburst. All thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
