What do guys mean when they say they like short women?

i would think legit more often than nut, like 5'2 or sumfin like dat. cuz the world tends to deal with absolutes more than relatives, idnt it? like if 6'5 guy says he likes short girls, i dont think he's referring to girl who is 5'10. maybe every now and then, but i think 99% of the time, he means short in absolute sense. his own height be irrelavunt

just like other way round if short girl says she likes tall guys. say girl is 3 foot tall. prob when she say tall, she mean like 6 feet+ or sumfin like that... not 4'5.

That doesn't make sense though because most women aren't legit short

there be plenty though. 5'4 is like avg in us. prob there is good distribution of 5'2... mebbe like 25% of the vagina population at least

5'2 is within 1 standard deviation from average and its not considered to be too short. Realistically only 15% of women are truly short which are under 5'2

i guess the averages might not be so big deal. but its a little thing ain't it either way at 5'2 or even 5'3? dunno. i suppose it is blend or relative and absolute but i would err on the side of people referring to absolutes

If men likes legit short women the population would be much smaller than it is right now and several millions of women that aren't legit short would be lonely.

that dont make room for the compromise, no? but i know plenty of guys who like da tall ones. long legs and all that, u know. actually this short thing is newer trend from my experience

I would have to disagree with you on it being legit short and I think short = shorter to guys. They just say short cause its easier to say

i dunno. i will happily concede. but it makes more intuitive sense 2 me if guy says he likes short girls that he likes the whole idea. short legs, short arms, cute or sumfin like that. 'shorter' dont capture such a precise image since shorter than shaq o'neal can include some super tall ones

That's what i meant. Way shorter than him. A 5'8 girl is shorter than him but when a guy says he prefers short women, they usually mean a noticeable difference like a 5'5 girl

That doesn't mean a woman is short. Shorter is not the same as being short. Short is being 1 standard deviation below average at least, so in the USA that is 5'2 and under. Shorter is just any height that is short to an individual. You said it yourself. A 5'8 girl is not preferred to a tall guy when he mentions he likes short women he would go for a 5'5 girl, but that still doesn't make sense. A 5'5 woman is not objectively short at all
