Depends on the guy. Common reasons are:
- they don’t actually like monogamy
- feeling neglected or unappreciated or unwanted
- sexually unsatisfied (frequency or style or specific acts)
- inability to be sexually open with their relationship partner.

cheating with a more attractive partner is, for men, unusual. Typically they have to lower their standards in an affair partner versus who they’d be able to date. Of course men in relationships do sometimes meet more attractive women... and they’re likely to break up and date them in that scenario.

Yeah that’s rarely why (it can happen occasionally). The two core reasons tend to boil down to “he’s a player” or “he was unhappy and vulnerable”.

He cheated on his other ex that he "loved so much" and recently was talking to a girl sexual on FB live and he has a new girlfriend so maybe I shouldn't take it personal.

It's just like when girls cheat. There can be a wide variety of reasons. Poor impulse control. Not a good fit for monogamy. Not having their sexual needs met. Becoming bored with their current partner. Greed. Fun/excitement. Could be any number of things.

Really contextual - there's no set reason.

Both men AND women who cheat, do it because they think they can get away with it. They're ruled by their desires and they don't take responsibility for themselves. Either way, it's a personal issue.

In this case it sounds like there's nothing you could do that would satisfy him. An issue with sex addiction is that sex acts will have to become more and more extreme in order to give an individual satisfaction.
