Certainly personality matters the most to me. I like spending a lot of time with my partner and if I'm going to be around someone a lot I definitely want her to be nice and fun to be with. I very much disagree with the pink anon that posted an opinion saying "they only want good and sexy fair skinned looks even if she's a bitch" because that's certainly not true for me. I'd take a nice woman that's average looking over a smoking hot "bitch" any day.

That doesn't mean that looks and size don't matter at all though. I want to feel physical attraction to a romantic partner, so I have to find her physically attractive and sexually appealing. That doesn't mean she has to be a 10/10 though. I've had relationships with women that most people would probably call average looking but I found them attractive. Maybe I found them more physically attractive because I was attracted to their personality. I think that's possible.

In any case, personality matters the most, but physical attractiveness does matter to some degree. What "physically attractive" means varies from person to person though, so my definition of it would be different than some other guy's definition.

somebody's ability to help and support you is always important, but so is their ability to help and support themselves. the way someone looks is a reflection of their ability to care for themselves. you don't have to look like a victoria's secret model when you walk out of bed, but you should take care that you are not overweight or have fat distribution in an unhealthy way, smell bad, unhygienic, et cetera. taking care of yourself also usually extends your life span, so you can be there for the people you love. i think the more important distinction is finding ways you can take care of yourself both mentally, spiritually, and physically-- so you and your partner can enjoy you guys have to offer each other!

I would think it is preference to eatch person, what looks good or not. Of course "mainstream beauty" may have an impact on what we are seeing as hot nor not - but when it comes down to it if you value looks over personality, that's a preference and it might be something you and your partner have I common. But for me, I would take personality over looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I think that's true. For me if a person isn't that good looking, but you just click and they makes you happy they become more attractive physically too.

A girl with hot looks and/or body is comparatively more rare, especially if it's both physical and personality at the same time.
