Playing hard to get is a skill guys can learn and it can be super effective if done right.

Basically your goal is to highlight the fact that the interaction is a man to woman one (not simply friendship) while also denying that very relationship.

It can definitely make girls chase you and try qualify themself to you. It's a great way to demonstrate that you aren't desperate.

For example: "you're adorable but you seem like far too much trouble for me". Delivery is also very important.

Also a final note, playing hard to get is effective after attraction is already achieved.
