Why do some dogs specifically dislike men?

Depends on a few things.
Breed. A smaller dog is naturally going to be intimidated by someone/thing larger / more forceful/direct and most men are typically larger & more direct/outgoing/upfront than women. It's exactly why at a dog park say a Chihuahua gets defensively aggressive whenever an overly friendly - too upfront - larger dog approaches them.

Socialisation. Dogs that are not properly socialised react poorly. If the dog has had limited exposure to men or bad exposure to men (e. g. say a guy who due to stress or mental/anger issues does nothing but scream & slam doors) without direct abuse they just associate men negatively.

Abuse. More dogs are abused or mismanaged by men, particularly men who think the old "alpha dog" mentality of "training" (now widely disproved in favour of positive reinforcement), than they are by women. Sorry to say but as men are stronger, bigger, etc. they are more prone to yank on the leash of a dog who is pulling, kick a dog that doesn't sit on time/behave properly, etc. because they think themselves less likely to be attacked & if attacked more able to defend themselves.

Person themselves. Dogs are, despite the fact they wage their tail & give kisses, predators at the core. If someone is nervous, anxious, etc. in their presence they are going to respond accordingly. That may mean aggressive behavior. Similarly if someone is acting aggressively they are often going to turn the favour.

Dogs personality is sometimes based off of the owner’s trait. If the owner is shy and don’t communicate well with others so will the dog. If the owner is hostile the dog will be mean, picky, & hostile. Dogs pick up on traits of their owner and sometimes they can sense when the other person has treated or done wrong. It also can be the pheromone scent from the other person.

Dogs are more likely to experience males being aggressive toward them than females. If you were to run across a being many times taller or larger than you, and that being was rough, aggressive or loud, wouldn't you feel a need to protect yourself from that being? Generally, females are more likely to treat a dog like a cute baby, so there is no threat. Dogs are pack animals with an established hierarchy. They rise up that hierarchy by showing strength (growling, barking, biting, etc.). My older dog growled at my new dog today for attempting to mount her, yet she thinks nothing of attempting to mount me. I have 3 rescued female black mouth curs, and none of them have any problem with me being a man.

Dogs dislike men, because they are pack animals.
Poorly trained dogs that aren't taught authority assume the dominant role in "the pack".
So whenever a male who challenges their authority appears they see them as a threat
to their dominant position in the pack.

Basically, it's the result of bad training, where you end up with a dog who thinks you are their subordinate.
A dog cannot be allowed to perceive itself as the dominant in the group, that's where most behavioral issues come from.

It probably has to do with your own anxiety. If your dog is the leader of your pack not you because you fail to lead, they may pick up on your nervousness around men and take control and see the guy as a threat to the pack. That has everything to do with you and nothing to do with men.

It's definitely not all men, however, women tend to spend a lot of time cuddling their dogs, and babying them, and a lot of dogs get defensive and protective of the person who does that for them so if they see the other person, the boyfriend, the husband, the brother moving in to "their space" or they perceive them to be hurting the woman, they will get defensive. You also have trauma dogs who have been abused by a man who will attack for that reason if they get too close.

The reason why male dogs dislike human men are simply because of how we appear. If someone you did not know who could possibly be a threat to the ones you love wouldn't you be hostile to it as well. It's also a battle of land owner ship, you know dogs pee and poop on there land that they call there own and therefore a man can be considered trepassing while women tend to be find in this area because i guess dogs don't see them as a threat I don't know

I heard of such behaviour among lions, when the fathers attack their own sons, maybe because they're born all alone by the mother and thus the fathers don't really get in touch with them, instead they attack them. And same with the mating process, when one interested male interferes in another male trying his luck, generally being like "don't dare disturbing my family life", which apparently occurs among pets and their owners as well.

Dogs are very smart, instinctive & intuitive. Many of them can sense the "true nature" of an individual, especially those who have hurt other animals without just cause in the past. My dogs, like many others, can "sniff an animal abuser" and they're been proven right.

Dogs that are raised by females and are themselves female typically have a guard instinct in then to protect their owner, men can come off as intimidating so the dog does what it does best to protect you.

For different reasons, probably depending on the dogs experiences.

My sister had a Staffordshire Bull -Terror dog, and he loved kids and women, but hated men. He liked my dad though.

He started disliking men after a guy tried to break into my sister's back garden shed. The dog chased him down the path and bit his ankle as he jumped the wall. After that, he didn't like any man, except for my dad. I'm not sure if he views men as a threat to the family if he doesn't know them

Could be that they've had a bad experience with a guy.
Or that they're asserting their dominance, depending on the gender.
And many other reasons.

Yes and some do not like blacks. Its voice tone mainly and smell. These dogs are raised around women only. BUT some breeds are just that way

My dog HATES small children. I'm 99% positive it's because he was abused as a puppy by one.

Kind of a loaded question/statement. I've seen dogs act similarly to females. Dogs pick up on things that people choose to ignore or dont notice.

I had a Chihuahua he resembled the dog in the picture but a little smaller his name was Quincy well he got my Cockerspaniel pregnant he was very protective of his whole family but anyone came in the house he sat and showed his teeth just like the dog above them dogs are a one-family dog and yes most Chihuahuas got to be raised by a Man in order to accept a Man and Quincy was good with me but any outsiders them teeth would come out

I think it's just possessiveness and attention seeking especially from dogs they needed to be needed and payed attention just like men 😂😂 so that's why men are referred as dogs I guess 🤣

No clear cut answer. I picked up a 7 year old Malinois that hated women the only one she liked was my fiancé. Could be past experiences of the dog, etc

Domestic animals in general can somehow sense whether a person is good or evil, and will react accordingly. It pays to observe how your pet, whether dog, cat or something else, responds to people you don't know very well.
