Question

So briefly talking to a guy for a couple of weeks on social media he would message me everyday, nothing deep, he messaged me last Wednesday asking what I was up to and tbh I've been busy at work etc so didn't respond but he also kept calling me baby sweetness and gorgeous and it just sounded all cheesy and he started to turn me off, the next day, Thursday he asked for my number and I didn't respond

Today he's sent me a message with "im really interested in you, I want to get to know you more, can I please call you" with all the cheesy names (remember he doesn't have my number)

Would you find this behaviour endearing or would you think its too much? At this point I don't want to talk to him further and I think he's being persistent but not in a good way

Would you respond?

To me it sounds more cliché. The cheesy aspect which would be the turn off for me as it seems disingenuous. He doesn’t seem pushy as much as trying too hard to keep your attention. Which is equally backfiring. I mean it would be one thing if this was your normal interaction but it doesn’t seem to have been and he’s become overly attached in a bizarre mushy fashion.

Sounds desperate. I think you should tell him you're not interested. You don't owe him anything, though, so if he's still messaging you after that, just block him.

He sounds annoying af. I can tell already he'll be blowing up your phone more if he had your number. If you don't answer he'll just make you feel bad the next time you talk. Steer clear of people like this.
