It is an attitude that only comes with experience. My father used to tell me stuff like this when I was a kid. I always thought he was just full of it. Now I get it.
I used to work in a department where I was the oldest one there. Every time there wasan emergency everyone else would go crazy while I used to calmly look at the problem and come up with the solution. It is not that I was smarter than everyone else, it's probably the opposite, it's just that I have seen how things work in the physical world and can conceptualize what works and what doesn't/

Yeah i get your point and i does look that way that she's generalizing, which is pretty sad. Then again she also has a point that if you feel attacked, then that's your own fault. But at the end of the day, i feel like both of you are being to aggressive about this. It's like you only read what the other person said but didn't try and look at it in their perspective. Which, as in this case, can lead to misunderstanding and unnecessary fighting
