If a guy says "that's what friends are for" when you ask him to do something, is he friendzoning you?

I went on a date with a guy friend and lied to my mom saying I was with a female friend. I lied because she doesn't allow me to be with guys even though I'm in my twenties. (I'll be moving out soon). When my mom found out, she yelled at me over the phone. I said goodbye to him and we parted ways. After he drove away, she asked me to call my guy friend back to the spot so she can talk to him. He agreed and drove all the way back. Over the phone as he drove back, I told him he's a real one. And he said "that's what friends are for." He was friendzoning right?
