My Review on My Birth Control, Lyza

I started taking my birth control called, Lyza two weeks ago. I started birth control for a couple reasons. One, to balance my hormones. Right around when my period starts, my anxiety goes through the roof and I turn into a different person. Before my birth control, I would scream at someone over something small and then later wonder why I did that. And two, because my period symptoms I got were terrible. My symptoms included hot flashes so bad I thought I had menopause.

I paid for my birth control myself and I ordered it from PRJKT ruby. PRJKT ruby is a company that gives women affordable birth control without a prescription. The upfront price is $60 for three months worth of birth control and then $20 every month. Also, it's very judgment-free. Many women have reported feeling judged while trying to take charge of their reproductive health including having their doctor force personal views on them. You won't be judged by anyone, also the packaging is very discreet. My birth control was sent in a plain white box, it didn't even say PRJKT ruby on it. PRJKT ruby was really great. I took a medical questionnaire to see what birth control was right for me. The questionnaire was later sent to a physician for approval. At first, my birth control wasn't approved because I have had migraine auras since I was ten.

The physician emailed me and explained that s/he didn't approve it, because the kind of birth control I was looking into increases the chances of stroke if the user gets migraine auras. The physician then recommended Lyza for me. Lyza has worked perfectly for me. I read medical reviews on Lyza and I noticed the only women who didn't like Lyza shouldn't have taken in the first place because it wasn't right for them.

Lyza is a progestin-only birth control so it's not very effective if you use it as your only birth control. Luckily I'm taking it for reasons other than sex. Within a few hours of beginning Lyza, I noticed a difference. My anxiety and emotional instability stopped cold turkey. Also I don't get any more period symptoms with the exception of bleeding of course. And even then, I only bleed for two days. So far, I haven't noticed any side effects at all, not even weight gain. My skin has cleared up and I haven't gotten a migraine since starting Lyza. If you set an alarm to take your birth control at the same time every day and you take it on time, Lyza will work for you.

Birth control can be hard to get because people don't understand the meaning of separation between church and the state. And there are physicians that force personal views on patients or supervisors/bosses that have a problem with paying for an employees birth control. And in other news, there is a law that allows women on birth control to be fired and evicted if Missouri bill passes. For the love of your God GOP, The Handmaid's Tale was a warning not a guide.

PRJKT ruby is legit birth control and they have teamed up with major pharmacies. I got my birth control from a pharmacy in Utah, of all places. And if you're like me, you believe in population control since we already have 7 billion people on this planet. So you can also donate money so a woman in a third world, developing country can get birth control. My advice would be to do research on which birth control is right for you. PRJKT ruby doesn't carry every kind of birth control, so it's good to know there's other companies like PRJKT ruby. Women have gone and are still going through a lot for their reproductive health, so it's good knowing affordable birth control is possible.

I believe that there should be a major effort in researching, manufacturing, and distributing environmentally-friendly, biodegradeable contraceptives. Lambskin condoms are biodegradable, while latex condoms and polyurethane condoms are not biodegradable. Latex condoms are not healthy for people who are sensitive to latex. Hormonal contraceptives are iffy. If the manufacturer can figure out a way to make hormonal contraceptives without influencing the reproductive hormones of other animal species, then go for it. But if they can't, that leaves using lambskin condoms, sexual monogamy, sexual abstinence, and extremely careful selection of sexual partners.

@sedrftvgyhujik should've been more specific, saying her name is exactly that, you're just saying her username. Sterilization is reversible most of the time, and you can freeze semen and eggs. Plus there's thousands of kids in foster care. At this point, we may breed ourselves into extinction. If you take all of the worlds problems, you will see that overpopulation is the root cause of most, if not all.

It does still go against free will to force it though and starting with free condoms and pills in the problem countries like india would be cheaper.
Most of the west actually has declining native populations and only grows via immigration its normally poor countries like india and a lot of countries in Africa that tend to have population problems because of over breeding.
And yes overpopulation causes many problems but so does having an ageing population / no one to support our eventual retirement.

I don't understand why Americans seem to have this idea that birth controls are expensive or that you need fancy health insurance to get them. Common birth control pills are not expensive to produce: in my country they are not part of mandatory health insurance coverage or subsidised and they cost something like that $20 per month you mentioned, or even less. The only restriction is you need a prescription to get them: PRJKT RUBY would be illegal here, but our doctors won't judge you for going on birth control, in fact they'd probably judge you if you didn't.

Big pharmaceuticals overprice all medications. Last I checked, it's $40 for the morning after pill and that's for the generic brand. Plus, depending who your doctor you might be judged or not get the prescription because of their personal views.

The pills we have over here come from global corporations, and we have similar GDP/capita as the US, so unless there's some kind of tax on birth control in the US they shouldn't be more expensive. Maybe it's because Americans are used to getting it through insurance that you don't know what they really cost so some companies will try to goug prices or something like that. It does suck if a doctor doesn't give you the prescription, I guess that's a cultural difference.

My periods used to resemble to picture with the knives! In the UK pretty much all contraception (birth control), is free. I got the contraceptive implant put in which you get for 3 years then swapped for another, and it completely stopped my periods! Its amazing, no periods and no pain!

Is it really unusual to get really emotional before your period? I tend to start crying uncontrollably at the dumbest stuff before my period starts and I get chills, even when I'm hot. I figured it was normal for your hormones to shift a bit. But then again, I'm kind of comparing mines with some friends and theirs sound like horror shows compared to mines.

No, that's not unusual. As I got older, my hormones shifted. I used to start crying uncontrollably, my anxiety would be through the roof, and hot flashes. I talked to my sister and she siad that's all normal in my family and she suggested birth control to stabilize it.

I haven't noticed any. It seriously has been perfect. It brought me back to my old self right before my hormones were out of control. I keep waiting for a catch with this pill and haven't found any.

i doubt that 99% of women use it because of hormonal inbalance, most use it to let men cum in them, therefore it is not needed for the majority of the female population birth control is not an issue at all, the minority that actually needs it can run some tests and if found eligiable they will be given for free by the government.
