Why does it feel like drinking water helps work down gas?

It seems like if I ever have gas that might be a little trapped drinking water helps work it down so I am able to fart it out? Why is this? I am just curious as to what the water does to help.

Please be nice this is an honest question and I would like helpful answers. I am not trying to be gross.

Well water can fumigate into mist..
Gas is like the mist of moisture that is in whatever foods you chose to eat and has a more likely potential to cause gas in the stomach.

Water overpowers the gas and grabs the floating water particles in the gassy food particles which cause bloating

Water flushes all the crap out of your system. Its why they encourage us to drink at least two litres of water a day or 8 glasses a day. It keeps your skin hydrated as well. If I feel like I've ate too much crap and it makes me feel a bit ill water always works and it makes me feel better too.

I had a girl pick her phone up the instant I farted and text someone and then when I let another one go near her she picked her phone up and started texting again. It was a random girl at my university.

Yeah there were also these two girls siting at the table a bit behind me in the quite library at my university and I felt a fart so I leant to one side and ripped quite a big, loud fart. I think both girls looked up and I looked at one of them with a shocked look on my face and said O well feels better with that out (or something similar ).

Yeah and then I said to them, can you look after my stuff I need to go to the toilet and when I came back I was like thanks for that and told them it should not happen again because I went poop and gave the two girls a bit of a graphic description of what my poop was like.

I did the same thing to another girl and I think I said to her "I left skid marks to" sorry not trying to be gross and then said to her something like well I do not care because the only thing that matters is to get your poop out or something or and she said yeah exactly lol

No, apparently a girls/women's digestive system actually produces three times more gas than a mans. This means girls/women have to fart this much more than us guys. A girls/women's farts reek way worse because of higher sulphur gases being present in their farts than men's.

Anything will do that. Whenever I have trapped gas, I just swallow air, food, or liquid, and I can immediately fart out all old my gas. I love farting, and I fart a lot so it all works out for me.

i had the same feeling. from what I've heard. water is converted in your system. and that is exchanged for carbon i believe. i get gas when i drink water i believe.
